Manitoba Issues 230 Invitations to Skilled Foreign Workers and International Student Graduates

Manitoba has issued 230 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination for PR in its 77th Manitoba Expression of Interest draw that took place on November 21, 2019.

The latest EOI draw issued invitations to candidates in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program’s Skilled Worker Category, Skilled Worker Overseas Category, and International Education Immigration Streams.

185 LAAs were issued to the Skilled Worker in Manitoba, 16 LAAs were issued to the Skilled Worker Overseas, and 29 LAAs were issued to the International Education Stream.

With the latest invitations issued by Manitoba, the total issued numbers to skilled workers and International Education Stream Candidates this year to 7141.

Invitations through the Skilled Worker Program in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas are based on the EOI (Expression of Interest System).

In the EOI, candidates are required to make a profile, which is later ranked out of a score out of 1000.

The more education certificates, work experience, proficiency in English or French, connections to Manitoba, and other factors, the higher score you will get in the EOI. A set number of the highest-scoring candidates are going to receive an LAA, which allows them to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian Permanent Residence for Manitoba.

In the latest draw, the lowest-ranked candidate that was invited under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba Score had a score of 504.

When it comes to the Skilled Workers Overseas Stream, the lowest-ranked candidate had a score of 739.

The 16 Skilled Worker Overseas candidates were invited directly by the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program under an SRI (Strategic Recruitment Initiative).

Of the candidates that got selected during the 21 November draw, 20 of them were issued t candidates who had a valid Express Entry ID in Canada.

Express Entry Candidates who get a provincial nomination are awarded an additional 600 CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) points. The points guarantee an invitation to apply for Canada PR consultant Residency in a subsequent federal Express Entry Draw.

In order to get considered for a Provincial Nomination from Manitoba, Express Entry Candidates are supposed to have eligible work experience in one of Manitoba’s in-demand occupations, and many other requirements. They are also asked to submit a separate Expression of Interest to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program.
