STRATEGIES, AND APPROACHES THAT MAINTAIN THE AUTHENTICITY AND HISTORICAL VALUE OF THE PLACE IS TO BE CONSIDERED.

IT IS A PROCESS OF INTERVENTION TO CERTAIN EXTENT TO PREVENT THE CHAOTIC URBANIZATION PROCESS WHILE RADIATING ITS ACTUAL VALUE, MEANING, AND AUTHENTIC RURAL CULTURE OF LIVING.

ABOUT SITE

BASANTAPUR IS THE ONE MAJOR URBAN CENTRE SITUATED IN THE MID HILL HIGHWAY LOCATED AT TERHATHUM DISTRICT OF KOSHI PROVIENCE, EASTERN NEPAL. IT IS SITUATED ON THE NODE POINT OF DHANKUTA AND SANKHUWASAVHA.

PEOPLE USE TO SING DANCE DHAN NACH AND GATHER TO PERFORM DIFFERENT SPORTS. PEOPLE OF ADJOINING VILLAGES USE TO BUY AN SELL AND BARTER THEIR GOOD TWICE A MONTH IN THIS PLACE. PRESENTLY IT’S A LAND THAT RECEIVE NUMEROUS VISTORS FOR RHODODENDRON VIEWING.
