Welcome to our latest issue of Sandal Living. I am delighted that this magazine is going from strength to strength and hope you enjoy reading the various articles.

This issue is our Winter Edition and it gives us a chance to reflect on the year! We can look back with pride on the achievements of our athletes at the Jason Carter, Operations Director London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and how BMW, as Official Automotive Partner, delivered a fleet that never let the side down. You can find out just how Sandal’s sponsored Paralympian, Hannah Cockcroft got on in her bid for gold glory later in this issue. We can also reflect on the introduction of several exciting new models, including the spacious BMW 3 Series Touring, accessible BMW 1 Series 3-door Sports Hatch, versatile BMW X1 and the refined new BMW 7 Series. Recently we have seen the national media reporting some good news on the economy, speaking personally, I think it is very important that we focus on positive news items. It is all too easy to surround ourselves with how difficult the economy is. There has to be some realisation that this environment is the ‘new’ normal and business has to work harder and more efficiently to achieve its goals. This year we have seen increases in our new car sales, and with such good offers from the manufacturer, which have been further enhanced by ourselves locally, there are some very attractive deals. One such case is the 316d Sport Saloon for just £359 per month, excellent value, but even more so when you consider the customer deposit is only £359. Naturally if you have a larger deposit that will reduce the monthly payments further. The finance programmes help us all to manage our budgets more effectively, but we have still to consider the running costs. cars could be seen pulling boats out of the water at the sailing, carrying mobile camera platforms for the marathon, towing horse trailers and transporting medal winners around the Olympic Park for media interviews. In the two years leading up to the Games, the BMW Group and Sandal have been supporting British athletes in their journey to be p a r t o f Te a m G B o r ParalympicsGB through the BMW London 2012 Performance Team. Over 130 local athletes were supported by BMW and MINI Dealers, 90 of which qualified for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, which was an outstanding achievement.
As the Official Automotive and Sustainability Partner for the Games, BMW and Sandal are celebrating one of the most successful summers of sport in British history and toasting the success of our Team GB and ParalympicsGB athletes, as well as the hugely important role BMW cars played in the smooth running of London 2012.
Between these 90 athletes an incredible 46 Olympic and Paralympic medals were won, with many setting new records for their personal or season’s best. A total of 18 Gold medals were awarded to such athletes as Alistair Brownlee, Ellie Simmonds, David Weir and of course Hannah Cockroft. 10 Silvers went to athletes that included Louis Smith, while a further 18 Bronze medals were presented to the likes of Rebecca Adlington and Tom Daley.
The BMW fleet, selected for its fuel-efficiency, ensured that the right people were in the right place at the right time. The fleet provided great support at events and, amongst other responsibilities, BMW

Sandal’s sponsored Paralympian brings home not one, but two GOLD medals. When Sandal signed Paralympian hopeful Hannah Cockcroft back in May 2012 they had a sneaky suspicion that she would do well, but never thought she would achieve so much in such a short time. Sandal Living finds out more. From the initial meeting it was clear that Hannah was expecting to do well at the games, casually dropping into the conversation that she was the current world record holder in the T34 200m category. Jason Carter, Group O p e ra t i o n s D i r e c t o r s a i d “Hannah has so much passion for life and her sport, we were delighted to be able to support her on the road to the London 2012 Games. We chose her from other candidates, not because she had the greatest chance of success but down to her wonderful outlook on life and her fantastic down to earth personality.” Hannah first started Wheelchair Racing at a BPA-run Paralympic Potential Day at Loughborough University in October 2007 and immediately fell in love with the speed of the sport. Specialising in sprint distances, Hannah showed her potential when she broke four world records at the 2010 British Wheelchair Athletics Association International. Now coached by
UKA Head Coach Peter Eriksson, she has continued to set the pace, making history as the first athlete to set a world record in the Olympic Stadium in London in May 2012, when she competed in the T34 100m with a time of 18.56 seconds. She has since reduced that mark to 17.60 at the Swiss National Championships. In addition to her performances on the track, Hannah has also competed at national level in seated Discus and Wheelchair Basketball. She cites Josie Pearson and Chantal Petitclerc as her sporting inspirations. Success came more quickly than Hannah had dared to hope for. “At the beginning the aim was Rio in 2016, so when I got selected for the world championships, I thought it would just be good experience but I won double gold and thought ‘what is going on?’ It’s only been four years, so it’s all happened really quickly, but it’s been amazing.”
“It was the first games and I’m still young, so I kind of want everyone else’s expectation to go down a bit, but I am aiming for double gold. No one goes to the Paralympics to win bronze.” The 20 year-old from Halifax won her 100m final by almost 1½ seconds before pulling off another victory when she finished a massive 2¼ seconds ahead of her closest rival in the 200m to complete her golden double. Hannah said “It’s been an absolute whirlwind of an adventure, I have so many people to thank for their support and love they have shown including Sandal. They provided me with a fabulous BMW X1 which I just adore. Greg from Sandal spent ages with me trying Sally, my racing wheelchair in and out of the models within the showroom. The X1 was perfect, with easy access for Sally. I can get her and three other people in it with me and still have loads of room.” Since the games have finished Hannah has been so busy with interviews and shows but has managed to get back on track with her training. Everyone at Sandal wishes her all the best and will be keeping an eye on her progress.

A drive to Holmfirth, West Yorkshire with Greg Stainton
When I was just a young lad, and the choice of television viewing was on three channels (none of the 150 plus digital channels we have today) the highlight of a Sunday's television viewing was watching a bunch of unforgettable characters carrying on in 'Last of the Summer Wine'. My recent 'drive to' Holmfirth (where this iconic show was filmed) brought some reminders of the show back to me, but also showed me a town that has a wealth of small independent shops and businesses that don’t need the pull of the show to entice visitors. I have been to Holmfirth once before, memories of that trip still haunt me, I woke to prepare for a meeting and an afternoon of clay pigeon shooting but found 3 inches of snow. The meeting wasn't cancelled and even though Holmfirth is nestled in the Pennine Hills I managed to slip and slide my way to the meeting. It’s fair to say that the shooting was a lot more interesting than the meeting itself, but the thing I do remember the most, were those hills, oh those steep gradients and narrow roads.... This time I was prepared, the drive up through the twists and turns, uphill and down was to be in Sandal's new BMW 320i xDrive demonstrator model. The benefits of four wheel drive vehicles in snow are clear to see but this latest edition to the new BMW 3 Series range has a strong, safe feeling about it, even without any of the white slippery stuff around.

The demonstrator model is an M Sport xDrive derivative and drives very much like a non xDrive 3 Series Saloon on the flat but when driving in and out of the corners it has a greater sense of stability. It's like you know the wheels are going to keep gripping the road all of the time. This definitely provides more confidence. A lovely feeling especially as I managed to get off the main roads and down some of Holmfirth's single lane roads that are lined with stone Georgian terraced houses.
I decided to park up in the centre and head off by foot to explore. The first thing you notice is the wonderful selection of small independent shops. The only chain that I saw was a Co-op. I did hear that the locals stood up to Tesco and stopped them from opening a store. I'm all for progress but some of the character would be lost forever if the high street here became another British 'high street'. Filming has now stopped of the iconic programme and Holmfirth is getting back to more of a normal life now that the hustle and bustle of actors and crews have disappeared, however, there is still plenty of 'Summer Wine' sightseeing to see, including an exhibition set underneath Nora Batty's steps. For the locals they probably have a love-hate relationship with the TV Show, so it's only fair that we look at the other gems this town has to offer. Locally known as 'Little Hollywood' following James Bamforths career, a famous film pioneer who later became even more widely known as the designer of the famous saucy seaside postcards. Holmfirth today has a thriving artistic community including the celebrated landscape painter, Ashley Jackson. Over the years, Holmfirth's development was tied to textiles, Moorland sheep, fast flowing rivers and delightful weaver's cottages on cobbled streets. Impressive mills bear testimony to the tradition of producing some of the world's finest woollen yarns and cloths. Today, local firms still supply materials to some of the top names in the fashion world. There's even an award winning vineyard.

The town is built in a valley so it's refreshing to know you have a choice of 30 places you can stop, relax, eat and drink to your heart's content. I picked a small cafĂŠ for my lunch before hitting the shops. If you are looking for an alternative to the big city or shopping centres then Holmfirth is the place for you. One such shop I found is the newly opened Lionhart Boutique. Situated on Victoria Street the delightful boutique has two floors of amazing home and garden furniture, lighting and wall art, in fact as owner Rob Hart told me, everything in the shop you see is available to purchase, including the bespoke holographic wallpaper. The town has a relaxed manner and that is apparent when you walk into the shops, you get a real warm welcome.
Over the road from Lionhart is an independent electrical retailer, Frank Platt. A family run business dealing in top branded electrical items, specialising in Panasonic and Technics with a personal level of service you don't find in the large chains. I feel this is the reason why so many small firms are thriving here, personal service that makes the trip worthwhile. A very busy and traditional indoor market is held in the town on Thursday and Saturday mornings with fresh local produce on sale. The surrounding dramatic scenery whilst a haven for walkers and cyclists, has also led to tragedy with major flooding on three

occasions in the town's history - in 1777, 1852 and 1944 taking lives and changing the layout of the town forever. One plaque is situated on the wall of a pub some 6 meters above the small river that winds through the town. The journey back proved to be exciting, I decided to have a drive around the stunning roads and head off into the Pennines. I do feel lucky to be able to drive all these great cars, for the last few months I have been driving a 3 Series Diesel Sport and as refined as that is, the petrol model of this 320i is even quieter. When idling at traffic lights I honestly couldn't tell if the Start-Stop system had engaged and had on a couple of occasions needed to check the rev counter. The M Sport model sits at the top of the specification line above the ES, SE, Modern, Sport and Luxury derivatives. The cabin is very well appointed and the model specific steering wheel is a delight to hold. The design of the wheel is noticeably different to the other models and really sets the interior off well. It provides the clearest view of the instrument cluster on any model I have driven and has some wonderful silver detailing on the steering wheel buttons that control the audio and cruise control reset button. At just £1,535 above the equivalent 320i the xDrive model is going to prove to be very popular. The Variable torque split system means that you can always rely on perfect traction. I was amazed by the agility, precision and safety of the overall driving experience, even when cornering at high speeds. xDrive is BMW's permanent all-wheel drive system. In normal driving conditions, it works with a basic torque split of 40 to 60 percent between front and rear axle. The torque bias between the axles is adjusted according to different road friction coefficient or driving situation, and can drive each wheel independently of the other. The BMW xDrive's sensation of agility is at its most impressive in hairpin bends or when cornering at high speeds. Every ounce of performance is turned into acceleration, making you feel as if you are being pulled out of the bend by a giant winch. The Dynamic Performance Control splits the torque smoothly between the rear wheels to maintain ultimate directional stability, increased dynamics and a greater lateral acceleration potential. Steering becomes easier and more precise in everyday driving situations as much as in challenging ones. The Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) system regulates the xDrive at all times, using information obtained from the extremely sensitive systemintegrated sensors for monitoring ro a d c o n d i t i o n s . T h e d r i v i n g experience of the system makes a dramatic difference yet only weighs 55kg more than the standard non xDrive car. Acceleration is only 0.1 second slower and fuel consumption is only marginally affected. When I returned to Sandal I was keen to find out more about the xDrive system and found a video that really shows how the system alters the power to each wheel that requires extra grip.

Late autumn and winter is not the end of the garden year but the start. In the borders:
Planting:
Autumn is the traditional planting time; so now is the time to plant trees, roses, hedges and tulips. Totties Nursery have an abundance of trees, (fruit and decorative) bare rooted hedging plants, (hawthorne, beech,) including leylandii and laurel. Of course we can now plant all the year round with containerised plants. Never plant when the soil is water logged or frosted. With container plants, plant in the normal way: adding well rotted manure or compost and a slow release balanced fertiliser (bonemeal, or fish, blood and bone) as base dressing. With bare rooted plants first soak the roots in water for at least an hour prior to planting. Never let the roots dry out. Dig a hole deep and large enough for the roots to be spread, then back fill with soil compost and fertiliser to give the plants the best start. The trees should be staked to prevent wind rock, with the stake on the windward side. Check stakes and ties later that they are not impeding the trees growth and top dress with well rotted manure, compost and slow release fertiliser. Plant tulips in November. They should be 3 times the length of the bulb. Add compost and a slow release fertiliser at planting time. Tulips work very well planted with wallflowers.
Hedges: When planting hedges it is best to dig a trench, adding as much compost and nutrients as you can. Use a garden line and measuring stick to get the plants straight and the correct distance apart.
Pruning: This a good time to prune most trees and deciduous shrubs. The foliage has gone and the framework of the tree can be seen. Cut out deceased, crossing and weak branches, aiming for an open centre.
Vegetable plot: Harvest winter vegetables, including leeks and sprouts. These taste so much better after being frosted. Mark what is already growing in the beds; this is important for planning crop rotation for next season.
Planning: This is the best part. Picture the scene, snow on the ground, a roaring fire a vintage glass of red.” Now where to plant the potatoes”.

Sandal support the Huddersfield Hilly Half Marathon. Sandal Huddersfield were delighted to support the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice’s Huddersfield Hilly Half Marathon in October 2012. Hundreds of runners signed up to help raise much needed funds for the charity and Sandal were on hand showing their support. Two white BMW 3 Series models straddled the road at the start of the 13 mile course. Sandal Huddersfield’s Sales Manager, James Whitefield drove special BMW mile marker vehicles around the course and told Sandal Living “The idea of the cars was to encourage the runners by showing how many miles they had completed. What took me by surprise was how hilly the course was.” James (seen pictured to the right) presented mens winner Matthew Hallam with a medal with race starter, Forget Me Not’s Patron and Sandal Sponsored Paralympian Hannah Cockroft. Matthew completed the course in an incredible 1 hour 21.3 minutes. MINI COURTYMAN - UPDATED In the two years since its launch onto the world’s car markets, the MINI Countryman has developed into a driving force behind the continuing growth of the MINI brand with the brand’s unmistakable style.

Upcoming and budding local artist Ryan Baxendale chose to paint Sandal Wakefield's Showroom for his course at Barnsley College. Ryan spent 30 hours painting the picture as part of the college project "reflections". Ryan told Sandal Living "The dealership at Wakefield was the perfect building for me to choose, I live just around the corner and have admired the design of the showroom since it was built. The lines create interesting shadows and reflections, something you don't see often in 'square' modern car showroom design." Daniel Syrett Before Daniel graduated from University with a Fashion degree, he already had an agent in London and very quickly, gained another a g e n t i n N e w Yo r k , u p o n graduation. Through these agencies, he worked for several fashion houses including, Jean Paul Gaultier and Yves St Laurent producing fabric designs. At the same time he was gaining national recognition as a graphic designer, designing award winning flyers for Icon (No.1 Club in the UK), the 051 club and Bubblegum Casino amongst others. Culminating in a commission from the Tate Gallery and Gilbert & George, to design the promotional material for the Opening Party, of the artists first ever retrospective exhibition. Daniel’s most sought after work are his Butterfly and plate collections and has commissioned bespoke works for a number of stars in the music business. His artwork is on display in four galleries, two in London, one in Valencia and his own gallery in Harrogate. Within his gallery, which is situated just on the outskirts of Harrogate are also works from other artists. The Panasonic DMP-BDT500 3D Blu-ray player
A sound system that brings out the best in TV Bose recently introduced the Solo TV sound system, an unobtrusive, single speaker designed specifically that fits neatly under flat screen TVs to enhance the watching of everyday television. Sandal Living’s own techno geek, Greg Stainton tested this “must have” little black box. The system arrived at the office and Greg couldn’t wait to test it, so after only a few minutes it was plugged into his PC and Windows Media Player was launched. A bit of Ed Sheeran, Adele and Joss Stone played with stunning clarity. The bass was rich and deep. Greg told Sandal Living “I love the album from Joss Stone and play it a lot but quite remarkably I heard tones and notes from the Bose System that I have never heard before.” Later that evening it was hooked up under Greg’s bedroom TV and that was when the system really came into it’s own. The Bose Solo TV sound system delivered detailed, wide and even sound. Voice was clear even when the system is turned down low but manages to stay true without any distortion when turned up loud. Greg watched an episode of Lost - “I loved the sound from this system, it somehow managed to project the sound and immersed me in the action, that’s something I never got from the TV in my bedroom. I have a surround system in the lounge and only watch the bedroom TV occasionally due to the sound quality, the standard speakers of flat screen TV’s just aren't up to the job but this new Bose system certainly is.” The system measures just 7.1cm high x 52.6cm wide and just over 30.5cm deep. It will work with any TV, but was designed for placement directly under flat-panel televisions that have a base requirement met by TVs with screens up to 81.3cm (32 inches) and many 101.6cm to 106.7cm (40 to 42 inches) televisions. Alternatively it could be placed on a shelf under larger screens. Set-up and use is very simple. The Bose Solo TV system connects to a television with just one cable and one plug to the wall. No additional equipment, wiring or adjustments is required. A remote control is included. The BMW Concept Active Tourer
BMW’s innovative approach to new car concepts and ultra-efficient alternative powertrains will be given a new direction with the introduction of the Concept Active Tourer. A dynamically styled plug-in hybrid (PHEV) with a spacious, versatile and airy interior, the BMW Concept Active Tourer contains a raised seating position for up to five people within an overall length of just 4,353mm. With sales of small and compact cars expected to grow by five per cent annually in the next few years, the Concept ActiveTourer presents a real opportunity for the continued growth of the BMW brand. The Concept Active Tourer is a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) based on the drivetrain of the BMW i8 concept car. This combines a new
transversely mounted 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine mounted at the front, with an electric motor driving the rear wheels. The electric motor is capable of driving the Concept Active Tourer for almost 20 miles on battery power alone. Combined, the two power systems deliver more than 190hp to ensure the sporty performance expected of a BMW. The electric motor alone can deliver 200Nm of torque from standstill, allowing the Concept Active Tourer to accelerate from zero to 62mph in less than eight seconds and onto a top speed of 125mph. Get your diaries ready: On Tuesday 9 April at 7.30pm Sandal along with the Wakefield Friends of Macmillan Cancer Support are holding their second special charity fashion show within our Wakefield showroom. The show, last held at Sandal in 2007, will once again be choreographed by Lynette from Diva Fashions. Mens fashion hopefully will also feature from Wakefield’s leading quality mens outfitters. The fashion show will once again provide a very enjoyable evening, showcasing the latest Spring / Summer fashions and of course, raise as much money as possible for this well deserved charity. Entrance is by ticket only and we are asking for a minimum donation of £10 each which includes a glass of Bucks Fizz on arrival. In true 'charity' style, a raffle will run with stunning prizes supplied by local companies. The last event raised over £4000 for Macmillan and was a tremendous success, however we are looking at making the 2013 show even more successful, a night not to be missed.

wheel refurbishment.
Most of us will at some time have heard that horrible, spine chilling scrape of alloy on kerb. Don't despair, Sandal offer an in-house (at both Huddersfield and Wakefield dealerships) professional Alloy Wheel Refurbishment service utilising the original BMW paint system. With prices from ÂŁ45 per wheel, Sandal Living went behind the scenes to show you the processes involved in restoring damaged alloy wheels. This process also allows your wheels to be colour coded to add an additional twist to your BMW.
Step One:Our BMW Trained Technicians ensure the wheel is thoroughly cleaned and degreased before micro blasting the wheel, allowing the primer & base coat to be etched on to the surface of the alloy creating a permanent bond.
Step Two:The tyre bead is popped from the wheel rim before smoothing out and repairing deeper damage in order that the finished surface looks as good as new.
Step Three:After another thorough clean and dry the wheel is protected with spray shield including the valve prior to been sprayed with primer. After 30 minutes of gentle heat with a local infrared heat lamp the wheel is ready for the application of the base coat.
Step Four:A base coat is blended using a range of BMW paint tints in order to create a perfect colour match for your wheel. The tints are taken from the very latest digital paint mixing system known as the BMW Colour system. Each wheel is given 2 to 3 applications of the base coat in order to achieve a deep factory finish with an exposure to gentle heat between each coat.
Step Five:Quality checks are carried out by the Technicians and only when they are satisfied with the base coat application are the final stages of lacquer applied in order to seal the colour and protect the wheel.

315 Bar and Restaurant Lepton, Huddersfield, HD8 0LX Situated on the A642 Wakefield Road, 315 is on a road well used by Sandal's Marketing Manager as the restaurant sits mid-way between both Huddersfield and Wakefield Dealerships. The transformation of the building from the former publican house is stunning, all that was left were the outer walls of the building and a totally new warm and friendly interior awaits customers. Greg has been wanting to try 315 since it opened and wasn't disappointed when he sampled their menu for Sandal Living. “After seeing the building work develop and the level of investment that has been made I knew that it would have to be special to keep customers returning but I honestly wasn't expecting such a fantastic fine dining experience that awaited my wife and I.

Both of us couldn't make our minds up from the starter menu, 315's own Prawn Cocktail (£6.50) or Crayfish and Crab wrapped in a nori seaweed parcel served with ginger, lime and coriander dressing on a beansprout salad (£6.75) or.... then I saw the dessert menu, two of my all-time favourites, Sticky toffee pudding and Bread and Butter Pudding. Knowing that these delights were waiting both of us passed on starters.”
315 offers a choice of À la carte, Mid-Week, Lunch and Casual Dining menus. For this evening Greg chose the Wild Duck Breast served with chicory and confit sweet potato fondant with a blackberry and red wine sauce (£16.95) and Tracey went with Belly Pork served with an apple fondant, smoked bacon and sage dauphinoise potato and poached little gem lettuce with a red wine sauce (£15.50). “Prior to the meal a selection of homemade breads were offered from the basket which was a lovely touch. Naturally an extensive wine and drinks choice was available but as another nice touch, recommendations were given in the menu to accompany some of the dishes.” The food was delivered with a selection of vegetables (£2.95). Commenting on the food Greg said “Its was incredible, beautifully presented with superb balances of flavours. The chicory was delightful and the duck moist and tender. Tracey's Pork was also to the highest standard and thoroughly delicious. The only problem was we were too full to order the dessert, but I will do, very soon, who knows next time we may even stay over in one 315's ten, five star AA rated bedrooms, apparently they do an excellent Dinner, Bed & Breakfast Package!”

INVOLTINI DI SALMONE AFFUMICATO (Smoked Salmon with mascarpone prawns) Prep time: 15-20 minutes - Serves 4-5 Ingredients: 1 packet of smoked salmon (large slices) 1 tub mascarpone cheese Fresh water prawns 1 lemon (zest and juice) Salt, Pepper, Fresh Dill Basil infused olive oil and a balsamic reduction (both widely available pre made)
Method: First mix the mascarpone cheese with half a juiced lemon and zest of the full lemon, add little chopped fresh dill. Add some of the fresh water prawns (can be done with lobster for extra indulgence). Season with salt and pepper to taste. On your work surface lay a piece of cling film out and in the middle arrange the smoked salmon to form a square shape. Take a spoon of the mascarpone mixture and place in the middle of the salmon and bring the sides of the cling film up to form a ball. Twist the cling film firmly to make a ball shape and refrigerate for at least two hours. To Serve: Thinly slice some cucumber on a plate and place the unwrapped salmon parcel on top. Garnish with fresh dill and a basil infused olive oil and a balsamic reduction.

Sandal's Annual Golf Day tee’d up another great golfing experience. The top twelve scoring golfers who competed in Sandal BMW and MINI's own golf day got to compete in the world's biggest amateur golf competition, the BMW Golf Cup International. The regional qualifier was held at Royal Birkdale in Merseyside after Sandal's own golf days. From there, the top six players went through to the British Final at the world famous Turnberry course in Scotland. This year Paul Chambers, a Sandal Wakefield customer qualified and enjoyed a wonderful two night golfing experience courtesy of Sandal and BMW. After driving up through some of the country's most spectacular scenery, Paul was met by Sandal's host, Jason Carter (both pictured right) and had the time to freshen up prior to an 18 hole practice round. For non-playing guests the opportunity to tour the hotel kitchens and watch the Turnberry Executive Chef and his team in action with a cookery demonstration was provided. An evening drinks reception was held prior to a wonderful evening dinner. All that was needed was a good night's sleep, dreaming of what may come the next day. With the morning sunrise, the hotel quickly started to buzz with excited golfers all hoping to be in with a chance to win a place to the world final held at The Fancourt, in South Africa. After Breakfast, the practice facilities were once again put to good use. Paul thoroughly enjoyed his round saying “I am very grateful to Sandal, I knew the event would be great but it was absolutely out of this world. The course is stunning and to be fair my game wasn't bad. The hospitality from the start at Sandal's own day through to Turnberry was first class.” Paul came in a very respectable 12th position scoring 29 points. Les and his wife, who also shares his passion for photography took these photos on their recent holiday to Reiff, a small settlement at the western end of the Coigach Peninsula in northwest Scotland. Les told Sandal Living “A few years ago we bought our first digital camera and really caught the bug. Both of us love trying to capture the moment and enjoy the editing side as well.
