Peace Treaty Between russia and ukraine Preamble
Recognizing the severe impact of the conflict on the citizens of both countries and affirming their mutual desire for peace and stability, russia and Ukraine have agreed to the following terms to establish a lasting peace.
Article I: Ceasefire Agreement
1. Immediate Ceasefire: Both parties agree to an immediate and unconditional ceasefire, effective from 00:00 hours on the date of signing this treaty.
2. Withdrawal of Troops: Both parties agree to withdraw their military forces from the disputed border region to their respective territories within 30 days of the signing of this treaty.
Article II: Establishment of Demilitarized Zone
3. Demilitarized Zone (DMZ): A demilitarized zone will be established along the disputed border, monitored by an international peacekeeping force under the supervision of the United Nations.
4. No Military Activity: Both parties agree that no military activity will take place within the DMZ.
Article III: Border Resolution
5. Joint Commission: A Joint Border Commission will be established, consisting of representatives from both countries and neutral international experts, to delineate the final border based on historical records and international law.
6. Final Decision: The decision of the Joint Border Commission will be final and binding on both parties.
Article IV: Humanitarian Efforts
7. Repatriation of Displaced Persons: Both parties agree to facilitate the safe return and resettlement of displaced persons to their homes.
8. Humanitarian Aid: Both parties agree to allow unrestricted access for humanitarian organizations to provide aid to affected populations.
Article V: Economic and Social Cooperation
1. Trade and Commerce: Both parties agree to promote trade and economic cooperation, including the establishment of free trade zones and joint economic projects in the border region.
2. Cultural Exchange: Both parties commit to cultural exchange programs to foster mutual understanding and respect among their citizens.
Article VI: Dispute Resolution
3. Peaceful Resolution: Any future disputes between the parties will be resolved through peaceful means, including negotiation, mediation, and arbitration.
4. International Arbitration: If bilateral negotiations fail, the parties agree to submit the dispute to an international arbitration body.
Article VII: Implementation and Monitoring
5. Monitoring Committee: A joint monitoring committee, including representatives from both countries and international observers, will be established to oversee the implementation of this treaty.
6. Regular Reports: The monitoring committee will provide regular reports to the international community on the progress of the treaty’s implementation.
