WORK | The Royal Danish Ballet, Copenhagen Professional ballet dancer I was a full time member of the company, where I performed in over 100 performances a year at the Royal Danish Theatres and on tour internationally. Alongside dancing I worked creatively, choreographing as well as directing rehearsals for several new productions for the company. Through active participation in workplace committees I helped develop new strategies for marketing, workplace culture and the Royal Theatre’s long-term strategy.

Town hall in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands BA thesis 2022

This project explores notions of authority, while seeking to maintain a generous and accessible character.

In the Faroe Islands one is aware of the Earth – raw layered basalt cliffs rising out of the North Atlantic – as a high authority.

The pavillion is dug into the bedrock, where a raw basalt wall frames the lower floors. The wall is a backdrop for a geological museum, celebrating the Earth and thereby forming a symbolic foundation for the building’s other functions.

The main hall is on the upper floor, allowing views over the city of the mountains opposite - a reminder of the “something bigger” the users are a part of.

The building shelters a public passageway between Tórshavn’s two main thoroughfares. The downhill facade is flanked by monumental steps, suggesting the building’s ceremonial function, as well as being an outdoor addition to the street’s many cultural venues.
