Amager Substation

The brutalist Amager Substation was designed by the Danish architect H.C. Hansen in 1962. Our brief was to transform the empty personnel wing to a public cultural building, which involed reinterpreting the uninsulated facades full of PCB chemicals and asbestos

Leth and Gori Architects

I worked for 18 months as a junior architect at the Copenhagen firm Leth and Gori. During that time we won a competition for a new theatre and concert hall in Varde. I took part in the sketching process and produced the final section drawings.

semester in Kyoto

I spent 5 months at Kyoto Institute of Technology studying the city’s traditional houses and streetscapes that are threatened by economic development. The brief was to conserve a threatened site and simultaneously fulfil the often-required 300% floor area ratio.

Citizens’ Hall in Thorshavn, Faroe Islands

My bachelor’s thesis project was a public hall and geological museum in the centre of the Faroese capital. My main reference was Jørn Utzon’s writing and sketches on platforms and plateaus.

Nannberga

Nannberga is a summer cottage by the Swedish firm General Architecture. Our brief was to build an exact copy of a portion of the house’s interior. We chose the top of the staircase and lining of insulation.
