THE DENVER MILE HIGH CENTER SITS WITHIN ONLY 25% OF ITS LANDSCAPED PLAZA ON THE POPULAR CORNER OF 1700 BROADWAY AND 17TH AVENUE. THE MILE HEIGH CENTER IS A 23 STORY OFFICE BUILDING ORIGINALLY DESIGNED FOR THE UNITED STATES NATIONAL BANK OF DENVER, A TRANSPORTATION COMPANY, RETAIL, RESTAURANTS AND A PARKING GARAGE. THE ARCHITECT I. M. PEI WORKED ON THE PROJECT UNDER WEBB AND KNAPP, INC AS THE IN HOUSE ARCHITECT FOR DEVELOPER WILLIAM ZECKENDORF. THE MILE HEIGH CENTER FACADE TREATMENT BOSTS BOASTS THE STRUCTURAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS BY REPRESENTING THEM AS DARK ANODIZED GREY AND CREAMY OFF WHITE CLADDING RESPECTIVELY.
