The course is of first rate academic standards, turning trainees into highly effective teachers. This is a part time, distance learning programme that professionally enriches teachers. The programme comprises a face-to-face introductory workshop followed by distance learning and tutor support. The course enables the pursuant to compare teaching approaches and methodologies in different countries and improve teaching practice through critical reflection and action research. The programme consists of four 15-credit modules, each assessed by a 3,000 word assignment or portfolio equivalent. It will involve face-to-face interaction at the start including a small group discussion and presentations. Students are taught through a dedicated virtual learning environment using online course materials and tutorial support. Credits at 50% or above can be used by students towards a full Masters award (180 credits) from the University of Nottingham.
