A MESSAGE FROM SAM
Hi, ladies!
What a year it’s been so far - full of change, growth, and a whole lot of sparkle ✨
As many of you know, we moved out of our office in Widnes. With limited funding available, we made the decision to step away as a way of saving costs and protecting the long-term future of Sam’s Diamonds But don’t worry - we haven’t gone far! We’re now working from my little ‘she-shed’ which is already filled with plans and new ways to keep our charity thriving and growing.
Alongside the exciting developments, I want to share something more personal with you all. Just last month, I was re-diagnosed with breast cancer. I know - it’s a sentence that still feels surreal to say. But here’s the important part: because I’ve always been vigilant with my self-checks, I caught it early After surgery, I’m relieved and grateful to say that I’m now cancer-free once again.
I’m sharing this not to worry you, but to remind you how vital it is to keep checking. Know your body, listen to it, and never ignore something that doesn’t feel quite right. It’s those quiet moments - the quick check in the shower or while getting dressedthat can make the biggest difference.
We’ve already shared some incredible moments this year - from hosting our first ever Northwest Cancer Care Conference to seeing so many of our brave fundraisers, making a real impact I’m so proud of how far we’ve come together There is still so much more to look forward to. I want every single one of you to be part of what’s to come - living every moment boldly, joyfully, and surrounded by the sparkle of our Diamond family.

NORTHWEST CANCER CARE CONFERENCE
We are thrilled to share that our very first Northwest Cancer Care Conference was an incredible success! The room was filled with positivity, connection, and support as people from across the region came together for this special day.
The event was packed with opportunities for our attendees, including: Inspiring guest speakers sharing expert advice and motivational stories, including talks from top medical professionals and wellbeing experts Practical workshops such as tai chi, lymphoedema exercises, and sound baths to support mind and body wellness.
A wide range of local cancer support stall holders, providing valuable resources and advice to attendees.
The NHS Cervical Screening Bus, which helped break down barriers to screening and made it easy for attendees to look after their health.
A warm welcome from the Mayor of St Helens, who came along to show support for this vital community event
The feedback from attendees has been amazing, with many saying they left feeling empowered, informed, and connected. We are so proud to have created a day that truly made a difference to those affected by cancer and their loved ones.
Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, and supported this milestone event. Together, we made history for cancer support in the Northwest!
DIVING FOR DIAMONDS

ART AND CRAFT CLUBSUMMER BREAK
Our much loved Art & Craft sessions are now taking a little summer break - but don’t worry, we’ll be back in September with even more creative fun and sparkly ideas to enjoy together!
A huge thank you to all the Diamonds who have joined us this year - your creativity, laughter, and support for one another make these sessions so special. We can’t wait to welcome even more Diamonds to our crafty afternoons when we return.
In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled on our Facebook group and online channels, where we’ll be sharing craft videos and ideas to keep your creativity flowing all summer long.

POOL OF LIFE - PINK PADDLE

What to expect: Join us for a Pink Paddle with Pool of Life!
We’re thrilled to offer 10 Diamonds the chance to take part in a Pink Paddle session with Pool of Life - Liverpool’s very own breast cancer survivors’ Dragon Boat Team and floating support group!
These monthly Pink Paddle sessions are a fantastic introduction for new paddlers. You’ll learn the basics of dragon boat technique in a relaxed, supportive environment - with plenty of time for refreshments and a good chat off the water too!
Whether you’ve just been diagnosed, are currently in treatment, living with secondary breast cancer, or thriving in survivorship - you are so welcome to come along and give it a go!

SILENT DISCO WALKING TOUR IN LIVERPOOL

What to expect:
Get ready to boogie through the vibrant streets of Liverpool in a one-of-a-kind silent disco adventure! Participants will don hi-tech wireless headsets and follow the energetic guides, singing and dancing the afternoon away.
It’s a 1 hour roam full of music, laughter and good vibes - rain or shine
Meeting point:
We’ll gather at The Botanist, Liverpool One (Chavasse Park, L2 9SQ) about 15 minutes before 3pm, to meet, collect headsets, and get ready to start. Beforehand, join us for lunch! It will be a great opportunity to catch up and fuel up before the fun begins.
