LOCAL

I have photographed all sorts of people in all sorts of places.
But they’re not from around here, local to where I live now.
Since I’d landed in Burton Latimer, a Northamptonshire town near Kettering, I’d travelled to take photographs, and people travelled to me, but I hadn’t photographed anybody local.
As a way to explore what was going on around me, I started asking some local people if I could take their picture.
Each time I photographed someone I asked if they could suggest someone else who might be a suitable subject, and I let that randomness guide me.
These are some of the local people I met along the way.
Thank you to everyone who helped create these photographs, including those who were camera-shy but took the brave step to stand in front of my camera.
