The design challenge in this project is to develop a full-scale hospitality space inspired by Antoine’s restaurant in New Orleans. The solution must focus on creating an innovative spatial experience that meets all the functional, legal, health, and safety requirements. The design must embody the celebratory, festive, and lively essence of New Orleans.
C O N C E P T S T A T E M E N T
The concept for the new Antoine’s restaurant in New Orleans is “twists and turns”. This is an upscale casual, fine dining restaurant that will serve Creole Cuisine. Antoine’s is a New Orleans-based restaurant that has evolved through a journey in time being the oldest restaurant in the United States. They are a landmark in New Orleans and fine dining, having continued to serve through times such as the Great Depression, storms, wars, and much more.
Antoine has gone through a journey full of ‘twists and turns’ and on this journey becomes an embodiment of the social and upbeat atmosphere that is synonymous with New Orleans. On this journey, they have cultivated the famous ‘Oyster Rockefeller’. This restaurant will create an unforgettable fine dining experience.

This project presented the challenge of creating a cottage with an interior that has a strong connection to the site and celebrates the natural environment. This project is not meant to be a luxury dream villa, but a cottage that honors the tradition of cottaging. The solution lies in thinking beyond the interior and to the full envelope.
A P P R O A C H S T A T E M E N T
Upon conducting and developing a preliminary design approach, I was able to fully understand the site. The travel path of the sun played a big role in the design decisions. Windows were strategically placed, to take advantage of the sun and reduce the amount of electric lights used during the day. The placement and orientation of the final structure also takes full advantage of the site. There are two stories on the 'lower and upper level' of the site. The bedrooms (private) are placed on the upper level and the public spaces are on the lower level. This was done to optimize privacy and separation between different zones.
As per the client’s needs this space includes a warm living area with seating for 6. The living area features a wood burning fireplace. There is also dining for 6 and a kitchen that has zones suited for both private and group activities. There are two bedrooms, both rooms have individual balconies. This is done to provide further privacy, so clients can have their own space with a view. Not only is there a view from the balcony, but both bedrooms consist of curtain walls placed in locations to take advantage of the sun and view. In all this project came together and truly fits the client profile and site.

The challenge presented in this project is to transform a single-height historic building into a specialty boutique. This boutique is to be located in Toronto’s historic Distillery District. The solution is to incorporate a well-researched concept and aesthetic along with providing an innovative customer experience.
The concept for the new Louis Vuitton luxury handbag boutique in Toronto's Distillery Shopping District is repetition. The inspiration for this concept was drawn from the various repeating elements seen in the brand such as color, logo, pattern, hardware, and more. This concept is prevalent in the Fall/Winter 2022 Women's Collection. This boutique will be focused on the merchandising of the handbags featured in this collection.
This will be a progressive boutique as technology will be incorporated into the interior. There will be a dedicated space that will provide clients with a personalized experience. Clients will be able to customize their handbags with multiple different patterns, colors, hardware, and more. Clients will be able to visualize their customizations before making a purchase. The primary target and demographic for this boutique will be individuals (male and female) ages 20-59. Being that the majority of the immigrant population in the area is of European descent, the merchandise will be greatly appreciated.
The challenge presented in this project is to design a bespoke and inspiring custom millwork. The client is acquiring interior design services for their new tiny home. This tiny home features custom millwork pieces that are conscious of the space, multifunctionality, and most importantly the client’s needs. The custom millwork is to be supported with detailing drawings.
The client for this project is 20-year-old Arlo Dawson. Arlo has recently completed a long backpacking trip where he traveled through many cities to learn about himself, his interests and hobbies. Through his travels, Arlo picked up artistic hobbies such as painting, sculpting, DIY, music, and more. While backpacking Arlo also adopted a minimalist lifestyle since he lacked space to carry any non-essential items. As his break ended, Arlo returned home and realized he felt out of place. He did not feel artistically liberated in his hometown and felt it was time to move. As such, Arlo decided to use his savings to purchase a tiny home and now needs help in making the most out of his space.
