elling a home in 2017 is much different than it was even ten years ago. The main factor is technology and how it is used by buyers to find those homes. Obviously having a strong presence on the web and listings that are dynamic with multiple professional pictures, virtual tours and descriptions that tell the story about the property help selling homes drastically. Conversely, outdated forms of advertising such as print marketing, broker open houses and property flyers are very ineffective. Fewer buyers are driving around to look at homes and younger buyers rely on the web for most of their information. So, what do you need to sell your home for the highest possible price and in the shortest amount of time? Serious internet advertising. Advertising that showcases the home and describes the home enough that a buyer would want to go out and look at it. The best way to accomplish this is to hire a professional agent who has a track record of selling homes and a web presence that you can verify. One of the easiest ways to do this is to google an address that an agent you are considering working for has listed and see the quality and quantity of their web marketing. Are there multiple professional pictures? Does the home look staged? Is there a virtual tour? Is there a description that makes you want to see the home? Then look up the agent. Does the agent have a website? Is there a detailed description of the agents work history? Has the agent won awards for performance from reputable sources that you can verify? All this homework may take a few minutes but will get you with the right agent to get your home sold for top dollar.
