Be Comfortable with the Uncomfortable As an agent at New York Life Insurance Company, Boedy Franklin is responsible for ensuring that clients have the proper life insurance coverage, protecting assets, and legacy building for future generations. Prior to joining New York Life, he served 8 years as an Air Force Contracting Officer before separating as a Captain. Notable are his deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan where he worked with coalition and local forces. He also worked at the Space and Missile Systems Center in Los Angeles, where he contributed to imperative space security programs partnering with space defense leaders. Boedy holds a Business Management degree from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. He lives in Poteet on the family ranch where he grew up. In his free time, Boedy loves to fish, travel and spend time with his family and friends. As an active member of the Poteet United Methodist Church and Poteet Grange, Boedy remains visible in his local community. He also performs volunteer work at the local CAM, which is a positive outreach to those in Atascosa County. Boedy’s greatest strengths are his ability to think outside the box, being comfortable with the uncomfortable and his leadership. After meeting and interviewing with JJ Ramirez, Partner with New York Life, and understanding the values that New York Life holds, he knew he had found the right company. He thrives on challenges, particularly those that expand his personal and teams’ goals. His primary goal at New York Life is to build his practice by helping individuals, families, and businesses protect their income, retirements, and employees.
