September 22, 1752 This Day in Vermont History The gravestone says: In memory of ELISHA CLARK who died, Dec. 12 1838 aged 86 years Patriot of the Revolution There is not a lot known about Elisha Clark who was born September 22, 1752 in Norwich, Connecticut; and died December 12, 1838. Elisha was a Vermont veteran of the American Revolution and was very active in government. Clark is known for serving as Vermont's first Auditor of Accounts from 1790 to 1797. What is known about Alisha Clark is that he served in the American Revolution as a Sergeant under Seth Warner with the Green Mountain Boys and as Adjutant under the command of Colonel Samuel Herrick in the Vermont Militia. After Clark was pensioned from service he settled in Tinmouth, Vermont and served in several local government offices, including as Justice of the Peace. Clark died in Tinmouth and is buried in Tinmouth's Noble Family Cemetery.

The Land Treatment Planner will work with the US Department of Agriculture Natural Resource Conservation Service to provide conservation planning assistance to farmers enrolled in Farm Bill programs.
