SAMUEL CALLAGHAN Fresh off of a breakthrough season in which he ripped up the league with Christleton FC, Adidas has launched the first signature footwear collection for Sam Callaghan, inspired by the rocky path that was taken by him to get to the point he is at now.

Not dished out to just any old player, a signature edition is the ultimate seal of approval; a marker of your status in the game, and there aren’t many that can lay claim to having that honour bestowed upon them at the tender age of 18.

Kylian Mbappe just missed out, as did Brazilian Ronaldo.

And so Sam Callaghan becomes the youngest star to join that illustrious group, as Adidas honour him with his own collection, inspired by the greats of the game and the area in which his ability was forged.

The ACE 17+ Purecontrol is very much the trending boot on the market right now.

A heavily backed campaign, high profile player appearances at events and a design worthy of the very attention its demanding.

They're modelled on the ACE 17+ silhouette with the royal blue front panel and the bold metallic Adidas logo embedded onto the side. They also feature small pink detailing on the tongue, heel and ACE logo. The lace less boots provide much improved control of the football and a comfy tight fit.

With this incredible achievement making headlines all around social media we decided to invite Sam Callaghan into the HQ to have a chat on his thoughts on the new boots and the upcoming season.

Q : What made you decide to work with Adidas for your first signature boots?

SC : Adidas came to me and expressed their ambition to portray my journey so far in a pair of custom boots. I was absolutely delighted, as a young boy you always dream of designing and having your own boots like the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. I'm really excited for the fans to see these!

Q : How will these football boots improve your technical game?

SC : I'm sure the new lace less technology will have a great improvement on my ball control whilst also helping me strike the ball as clean as possible.

Q : Can you remember receiving your first pair of football boots?

SC : I remember I was about 8 and a huge footy fan and I got home from school one day and my mum handed me a box with them inside.

They were neon green as I loved to stand out and i wore them until they were completely battered. Now I have them in a case in my mums house.

Q : When you were growing up, which superstars did you look up to and try to copy?

SC : Apart from the obvious answer of Ronaldo and Messi, I grew up as a big fan of Fernando Torres and Mesut Ozil.

Torres was an incredible dribbler and finisher and Ozil had an exquisite first touch and pinpoint pass.

Q : Last season you managed to score 29 goals in 32 games, do you think you will be able to improve on that impressive record this season?

SC : For sure I will try my hardest and with the great new teammates brought in by the manager I believe i have a great chance to do even better than last season. Also my new boots will aid me in all areas of the pitch.

Q : Do you plan on continuing your great journey at Christleton FC or are you looking to take on new challenges possibly in another country?

SC : I'm very happy at the moment with life at Christleton but it has always been a dream to play for a historic club such as Real Madrid and Liverpool. But who knows what the future holds and for now i'm fully concentrated into putting 110% effort into everything im doing at this time.
