NORTH OF ENGLAND MULE SHEEP ASSOCIATION Sale rules as adopted at an extraordinary AGM held at Kirkby Stephen on MONDAY 20th JULY 1987 and Amendments 1. Lambs presented at NEMSA Sales must be the bona fida property of Members.

2. They must be sired by a pure Bluefaced Leicester Ram, out of either a Swaledale or Northumberland type Blackface ewe.

3. At Association Sales, all lambs forward will be subject to the scrutiny Inspection.

4. Any member whose stock is deemed to be of incorrect parentage, will be warned in writing the first year then if there is no improvement the following year, their membership will be terminated.

5. There shall be no black lambs.

6. Lambs sold at Association Sales will be subject to whatever levy is in force at the time – 15p.

7. Entry fee to Skipton Branch of NEMSA – 3p (deducted from vendors credit).

8. Any disputes arising as a result of these rules will be settled with the Council of Management.

9. No coloured yarns to be used.

These rules do not invalidate existing Auction Mart Company rules. All lambs sold in order of catalogue. Private sales must be booked in at the Office. Vendors kindly refrain from bedding pens with bracken or shavings. Lambs not penned or any lot not represented when called for sale shall be relegated to the end of the sale and no exception to this rule will be entertained under any circumstances.

VENDORS PLEASE NOTE: There is a minimum of 10 LAMBS PER LOT, 3 LOTS in 50, 4 LOTS in 80, 5 LOTS in 100, 6 LOTS in 120, 7 LOTS in 140, etc.

TAGGING: Yellow EID Tag should be in the underside of the left ear, with grey NEMSA Tag in the underside of the right ear.

The draw was made in the Auction Mart on Wednesday 17th August 2016 at 4.00pm by the Committee of the North of England Mule Sheep Breeders Association. Will vendors please note that in 2017 the first three and last three vendors of Lambs in 2016 will be given a preferential ballot, on the condition that those vendors present at least 75% of their stated entry.

THE CURRENT LICENSING REGULATIONS MUST BE ADHERED TO. The Auction Company will dust all pens and alleyways but if vendors wish to bring additional sawdust not shavings for their own use they may do so.
