Sensing Piacenza 01
The public plaza connects to the Bastione Project (cultural site) by the abilitation of an existing door. This way, both Porta Borghetto, the Plaza and the Bastione will be connected.

The Plaza is connected with both the Bastione and with the outside area of the Farnesian wall.

The main plaza is the link between the new park in the Ex-Acna, the Bastione, and the access to the outside of the Farnesian Wall. The pseudo-amphitheater includes public sitting, a gathering place, and a cooling device ran by water.

STRATEGICAL LAYERING
The Green Network topic is related to the reconnection of the green infrastructure that in the existing situation is fragmented and is difficult of having a continuity. Renaturalization of green areas and vacant spaces and Woonerf impelmentation in the context of the project are actions that allows the Ecolink to spread out the project area. Social attractors implementation are based on the analysis of services that are reachable in less than 15 minutes by walking and for give a boost to the social cohesion. The BRT line provide a sustainable way of tranportation and allows to reach the 15 minutes city topic. The accessibility and safety is guarantee by the bus stops that have a buffer zone to the BRT lane.

The “EcoLink project” is a consequences of analysis and necessities of Piacenza. The new BRT line represents a sustainable transportation system for the city. All buses are powered by electricity and the new Bus Rapid Transit represents a piece of the puzzle for the regeneration of Piacenza. The Bus Rapid Transit permit the accessibility to many of the neighborhood of Piacenza like Train Station, Lupa, Pubblico Passeggio, Colombo, Farnesiana and San Lazzaro for the stakeholders.
The main function of the BRT Line is to serve the people that live and work in areas that are regenerated in Eco-Districts. An ecodistrict provide a sustainable development, social equity and reduction of the ecological footprint of the neighborhood. Also it guarantee a sustainable way of living and reach the puirpose of SDG 11 about Sustainable Cities
The three eco-districts are characterised by regeneration of abandoned buildings, repurpose of Vacant Spaces, parking lots, street experiments, renaturalization of neglected green areas and the enhancement of slow mobility system with woonerf, cycle path and pedestrian path networks.

For each district have been implemented the key services that allow to reach the objective of the 15 minute city. This strategy allow to reach the SDG 11 about Sustainable Cities. The analysis of key services in each neighborhood allow to understand what kind of service we miss in each district, in this way is possible to implement them and guarantee services that can be reach in less than 15 minutes by feet.
The Underground buffer between Lupa and Pubblico Passeggio Neighborhoods is charactrerised by a linear parks that allow the transit of the BRT Line and also offers services fo implement the 15 minutes city topic. The main connection with the above Farnesiana street is characterised by a staircase that allow to connect the two levels and use the configuration of the stairs as an open air anphitheatre. Other functions and services that are missing are the open air library that allow to enhance the social cohesion and a didactical playground.

Key services in Farnesiana Neighborhood has been implemented with renovation of existing public park , transformation of the neighborhood in Eco-District, playground for children and open air working spaces.

Exhibition & galleries are connected with a fluid circulation route.
Along the way, the bridges are way stations. when you get onto them, one after the next, you are in this zone and you can look up at the sky and down to the earth. you think about what you’ve seen and got ready for the next gallery. there’s a lot of bad stuff you learn about. but a lot of good stuff too. you look up and you think: “ oh man, I’ve got a way to go” and I wonder if I will make it to the top.

Mood: Daring.
It is the second zone the visitor enters and here we start introducing them to the chronological walkthrough and showing the idea of expressionism breaking through the negative side of the society and speaking up.
Light: the contrast in the light between the light side and the dark sides.
Scale and proportion: using doubleheight, and the scale of the art pieces to make the visitor overwhelmed by the expression of the art.
Colors & textures: using neutrality to emphasize more on the artwork
Mood: Innocence, liberation and purity
To reflect on the women’s nature as mother, wife, working woman.
Light : more natural light was used to give it a liberated and pure effect.
Scale and proportion : the scale of the room is high to achieve the liberated feeling and connect it more to the sky, the scale of the artwork is large to overwhelm the visitor with the beauty of the artwork.
Color : using neutral light tones to create a pure feeling.
Cultural Minorities Exhibition
Mood: Festive and nostalgia.
This zone celebrates the positive side of the Nubian culture and heritage
Texture : using the same material used in their houses
Light : to achieve the festive mood we used more natural light in the oasis zone and less in the back to the memory lane zone to achieve the nostalgic mood.
Scale and Proportion : the arches which is a main element in the Nubian Architecture were used in a large scale.
