Ambuja Cement’s strengthens customer support focus in Rajasthan To train 12000 masons and contractors across Rajasthan with certified construction courses by 2020 To advocate Modular Curing to save water To launch Ambuja Knowledge Centre in Jodhpur by 2016 Jodhpur, 26th November, 2015: Ambuja Cement’s is strengthening its customer support focus in Rajasthan, through technical assistance and value added services for customers, masons and construction professionals including Architects, Civil Engineers and Project Managers. Ambuja Cement plans to train 18,000 masons and 15,000 contractors across India with certified construction courses by 2020. Meanwhile, in Rajasthan, 2000 masons and contractors will stand to benefit from these initiatives in 2016. Commenting on these developments, Mr. Umesh Soni, Corporate Head, Technical Services, Ambuja Cement said, "Our Technical Services team has played a pivotal role in enhancing knowledge, expertise and capability through dissemination of various productive, useful and value added services over the last 20 years. A robust team of 200+ engineers have contributed towards driving employability of thousands of contractors, architects, builders and engineers with valuable guidance. Through various knowledge and efficiency driven training programs and courses Ambuja aims to enable a growth-driven, organic business model, by establishing strong knowledge pools and emerging as a thought leader in innovative, customer driven activities.” Ambuja’s Technical Services has proactively enabled engagement initiatives among locals by inculcating necessary skill-sets and expertise required for masonry. The training programs offer theory and practical sessions on masonry tools, selection of good quality building materials, right mix proportion, methods of mixing, brick masonry, flooring, plastering & concreting. Ambuja Cement has trained around 500 young men for masonry skills in the region till date. Through active guidance and workshops, it has enabled over 400 Individual House Builders to use Modular Curing Technology and helped conserve more than 36 million litres of water in across India.
