Have you ever wondered how your computer plays their turn in a chess game with you when you play a You vs. Computer game? Well, it was Alan Turing who first introduced the concept of Computer machinery and Intelligence in “The Imitation Game” in 1950 and Arthur Samuel who built a computer program to play

Artif ic ial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative force reshaping various aspects of human existence, including social dynamics, customs, culture, education, and identity. We will explore the multidimensional effects of AI on these aspects on, examining how it improves human lives and the pitfalls it may hide.

In today’s advancement of technologies, AI has completely transformed social interactions, communication, lifestyle, and habits on previously generic levels. AI-powered social media platforms are widely used with enhancement in algorithms allowing personalized engagement, shifting the way people interact.
In addition to that, the infusion of AI into everyday life impacts customs and traditions, changing the way people interact with the world. For instance, AI-powered virtual assistants such as Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant have become mandatory in many households, reshaping the dynamics of individual and domestic life.
The worries about AI's contribution to misinformation campaigns, hoaxes, and unfiltered fake information deteriorate as people tend to believe instantly what they see first without thinking about the need to understand the issue.

In addition, Artificial Intelligence has a wide range of effects on culture, including art, entertainment, and language. The partition between human and machine creativity is blurred by the use of machine learning algorithms to produce creative artwork, music, and even writing. While AI has contributed positively to many aspects, it unfortunately sparks protests to creative artists’ who rely on humans’ exceptional, imagination, talent, and most certainly, creativity. The recent massive and incessant outcry from artists defending the idea that AI-generated arts – pictures, paintings, passages –are entirely unethical due to copyright issues. Despite being used elsewhere, many artists consider AI “arts” as simply stealing their works and regenerating them. Do you think AI arts are permissible? Why?

The adoption of Artificial Intelligence has revolutionized education by creating personalization in learning experiences, optimizing learning-teaching-guiding processes, and expanding access to broader knowledge. Adaptive learning platforms powered by AI algorithms can tailor educational content to individual students’ needs, preferences, and learning styles, enhancing engagement and comprehension. Moreover, AI-driven analytics tools enable educators to gather real-time insights into student performance, allowing for targeted interventions and support. Examples include Turnitin.com with its plagiarism detection, Gradescope with AI assisted grading system, and revision aids like Quizizz. The use of AI in the education market is foreseen to grow at an annual rate of 39.14% from 2021 to 2026, reflecting the increasing integration of AI into educational practices worldwide.

There have been many attempts to fake someone’s identity, from simply using their photo to creating deceiving videos and voice recordings, often pretending to ask for help. This threat is becoming more serious with the advancement of AI, which can learn to absorb and mimic human intelligence. Hence, as AI continues to advance in imitating human identity in both virtual and physical world, safeguarding privacy rights and launching digital literacy campaigns are imperative to foster responsible AI usage and preserve individual agency.

All things considered, artificial intelligence has radically changed the structure of human society, having a significant impact on social dynamics, traditions, culture, education, and identity. AI offers previously unheard-of chances for creativity, advancement, and connectedness, but it also brings with it serious ethical, societal, and cultural issues that require thoughtful analysis and early response. Society can embrace the transformative potential of AI while reducing its negative effects on the well-being of mankind as a whole and its future course by promoting transdisciplinary discourse, ethical frameworks, and inclusive governance systems.
From the good old checkers game to your smart refrigerator, AI has deeply assimilated into our lives. What do you think of in our daily life that uses Artificial Intelligence? And, can you spot any AI generated text in this article?

Readability is one of the important aspects that needs to be considered in the software development industry, as it can promote effective collaboration, simplify the code review and maintenance process. Readable code enables developers to quickly understand the code's purpose and functionality, leading to a lower rate of unnecessary errors in the future. And that is exactly where design patterns come in handy. yes, this article might be the solution to foster collaboration within your team!
The term of “design pattern” in software development refers to a reusable method to a commonly occurring problem within a given context. It is like having a set of go-to instructions for common challenges in software development process. These patterns help developers tackle comon problems in an effective and efficient way.
In other words, design pattern is not the actual code, it is a template or a blueprint that can be utilize by developers in different situations to solve similar problems in order to write code that is easy to understand and reuse.

2
Design pattern is not the actual code, it is one of the ways to write and organize your codebase in a way that can be easily modify, test, and debug.

Sounds a bit abstract (I know), but bare with me, you’ll understand it as you read this article!
Utilizing design pattern is like having a toolbox to make your code easier to read and understand. These patterns help developers create code that is more modular, easier to organize, and more adaptable to changing requirements. They also help developers to standardize software design by providing a shared vocabulary and set of best practices.

By following these patterns, the code will be easier to follow as developers within the team using a consistent style, avoiding unnecessary repetition and duplication of logic and functionality, making it easier to modify, test, and debug.

MVVM, stands for Model-View-ViewModel, is the common design pattern used in SwiftUI to organize the codebase and separate concerns. MVVM separates the presentation logic (the View) from the data and business logic (the Model) using an intermediary object called the ViewModel that acts as the bridge to connect the Model and the View. This separation helps a lot to build structured and modular code which easier to be read and understand by developers.

The Model represents the data that the application needs to manage. In SwiftUI, models can be created in form of struct or class that define relevant data for the application.

What happen here:

We create a model of tutorial named “PawTutorialMode” using struct in which each tutorial will have its image and description.
4 5
The View layer is in charge of showing the user interface that users see. This also involves displaying the data to users. In SwiftUI, View can be created in a form of View struct that include the code to for creating UI elements like text, button, and its layout. However, in the MVVM pattern, the View should not contain any logic or state. It should simply display the data provided by the ViewModel.

What happen here:

The ViewModel acts as the intermediary (or the “bridge”) which connecting the Model and the View. It provides the necessary data from the Model that the View needs to display. The ViewModel often contains presentation logic and transforms the raw data into a format suitable for display. ViewModel also takes care of the user interactions and updates the Model as needed. In SwiftUI, the ViewModel is typically represented by an ObservableObject class which allows the View to automatically react to changes in the ViewModel’s data. It can be passed down to the View using the @StateObject to create the first object instance in the parent view, and @ObservedObject to create the object instance in the child view.

What happen here:

We create a ViewModel named “PawTutorialViewModel” using an ObservableObject class. Keep in mind that we need to use the property wrapper @Published var to store the variable value. @Published var is a property wrapper that has the same function like @State var in a struct, however, by combining the ObservableObject class and @Published property wrapper, we will be able to automatically notify SwiftUI views when data changes, allowing the views to update accordingly.
A ViewModel might also consist a presentation logic, in this case the function named “shuffleTutorial” that will shuffle the order of the

We create a View named “DisplayTutorial” using a struct that displays the user interface containing text and a button. By using @ObservedObject inside the struct view, we establish a connection between the view and the ObservableObject. This connection ensures that the view responds to changes in the @Published properties, automatically updating its display accordingly.

MVVM promotes separation of concerns by isolating data, presentation logic, and UI rendering into distinct components. This separation makes it easier to maintain, test, and evolve each part of the application independently. SwiftUI, being a declarative UI framework, aligns well with the principles of MVVM by allowing you to describe the UI’s structure and appearance without getting bogged down by the details of how data is managed or how user interactions are handled. MVVM in SwiftUI helps you build structured, modular, and maintainable applications by dividing responsibilities among the Model, View, and ViewModel components.

In conclusion, an echo chamber, whether it is created by users themselves or caused by algorithms, affects people in how they think and act. It divides people into groups and it diminishes mutual respect and understanding we should have for one another. It is important that people stay aware of this phenomenon and try to interact with different resources and tolerate other perspectives.

A highly anticipated annual event at Sampoerna University, tailor-made specifically for the enjoyment of students in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, had gone off with a successful bang this year. FET Bonding is an event designed to strengthen bonds and foster a sense of belonging among students. Held at Villa Kebunsu in Bogor, West Java, the primary goal was to enhance connections between students while also contributing to the local community through community service.

The day began early at 5 a.m., as the campus grounds buzzed with excited but slightly groggy students eagerly boarding buses. Departing at 5:45, the three buses made a brief stop at SDN Gadog 02, a local school in Sukajadi, Bogor. Here, students engaged in various activities, including sharing teaching methods with teachers, organizing games, establishing a library system, and even decorating the school's library. After bidding farewell, the students resumed their journey to Villa Kebunsu.

Upon reaching the villa, students received an orientation, unpacked, and had lunch. They then gathered in the auditorium for a formal welcome by the MC and faculty. Ice-breaking activities followed, facilitating interaction among students. Divided into six groups, they enjoyed three game stations: "Transport Tepung," "Rubber-Straw Transfer," and "Kereta Balon".

Unfortunately, a sudden downpour of rain shifted the outdoor games into indoor activities, yet the ice-breaking continued with great enthusiasm. As night fell, students had a delightful dinner with a barbecue. Conversations and socializing continued, with some students exploring the villa's surroundings. The villa's 11 p.m. curfew led everyone to their quarters.

The next morning, students awoke at 7 a.m. for some stretching and exercise on a nearby field next to the villa, shaking off any remaining drowsiness. They had plenty of free time, with some exploring Villa Kebunsu one last time after break fast, while others packed and ensured none of their belongings was left behind.
The event concluded with a farewell speech reflecting on the FET BONDING experience, an award ceremony, and photographs to preserve the memories. Students bid farewell to the beloved villa as they boarded the buses, cherishing the unforgettable experience.

Such a great experience !!! It was really fun !!! looove the team <3

This is the most fun designing experience I had in forever, I get to try designing with a Y2K theme which I have always wanted to do and it’s fun to reminisce every FET event and content while designing the pages! ! But, overall, I had such a great experience thanks to our amazing PL

Doing this project with everyone is such a nice experience. It's a very nice memory to remember by. I enjoy the member's company and how we are free to express our artistic self in designing the magazine. I also love how Sam keep us in spirit in finishing this project <3 All in all, it's a great team with a great spirit that resulted in an amazing experience as well as an amazing project :3

Being the project leader for FET MAGAZINE has been an unforgettable experience that I will cherish. Collaborating with a committed and brilliant team has made me very proud. I am grateful for this opportunity and thank everyone involved for their hard work.

Working and writing for FET Magazine has been a rather tiring but also fun and fulfilling experience. I was initially unsure and full of self-doubt while working on this team and in this magazine, but I felt very joyful as I wrote, and I felt reassured that everyone I was working with had my back. This has been a very enjoyable ride for me, and it is a memory that I will cherish.

Being a content writer for FET Magazine has been incredibly enjoyable and fun. At first, I doubted myself and writing skills, but you know what? It turned out to be a blast. A big shoutout to our amazing team. It has indeed been one wild, fun ride, and I'm definitely keeping these memories close. Cheers to FET Magazine!

Such a great experience and opportunity working with this team, all cool people. From the fire of idea brainstorming to the stress and hurry of chasing deadlines, this magazine has brought the spirit of my first semester at SU. I hope you enjoy our piece of work.
