To address SAM’s needs more effectively as we continue to grow, the Marketing and Communications functions have become two separate departments. The Marketing team reports to Shane Nichols, Chief Growth Officer, and the Internal Communications team reports to Vivek Arora, Chief Administrative Officer.

What distinguishes Marketing from Internal Communications?

Marketing is a metric- and data-driven function created to accelerate SAM’s growth strategy. This boils down to the following: communicating the SAM narrative (who we are) to the market, building the SAM value proposition aligned with our key stakeholders (customers, employees, and owners), and pursuing technology (Hubspot, Salesforce, SAM proprietary mobile app) and the integration thereof to build a demand-generation engine that is accretive to the SAM organization. The focus of marketing is to generate external activity aligned to the growth strategy, showcase our technology, people, and innovations, and generate quantitative and measurable financial results.

Internal Communications focuses on developing campaigns and messaging that align with our corporate communications by highlighting key SAM initiatives, consistently engaging with employees, driving recruitment and retention, and maintaining brand integrity. The team is responsible for Perspectives and the samperspectives.biz website, and the Amplify podcast, among other employee-focused channels.

Marketing has new positions that will be starting in Q3 2023 including: a website developer, graphic illustrator and video production specialist, technical writer, and an inside sales position that will support demand generation, working closely with SAM’s Business Development professionals and Market Leads.
