At Salt on Main Wellness Center, we’ve brought the beach (minus the water) to Historic Laurel. Opening in November 2019 we launched Prince George’s County first dry salt therapy center also known as halotherapy.
Halotherapy is a holistic approach to health and wellness by focusing on what we breathe. Our facility offers three halotherapy treatment rooms offering a relaxing experience to detoxify the respiratory system, soothe skin conditions, calm stress, and promote an overall feeling of wellness.

Himalayan Salt Barn
With roughly eight thousand pounds of salt and 150-year-old restored barn wood, our Salt Barn is designed to enhance relaxation while gaining the benefits of halotherapy in a group setting. If you’re new to Salt on Main reserve your first visit in the Salt Barn for a 45-minute session including zero gravity chairs, comfy blankets, and a starry sky to put you in a meditative state of mind.
Salt Chamber Therapy
Tight on time? Breathe in the benefits of halotherapy in 20 or 30 minutes in a private room. This is a perfect alternative for those looking to soothe skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema as this private room allows you to shed some clothes to truly expose specific skin areas.
HOW IT WORKS
During our treatments, pharmaceutical grade dry salt is ground into specific micro-sized particles by a salt vaporizer, also known as a halogenerator, that then disperses the particles into the air of the enclosed room and/or chamber.
The Salt Box
Looking for a kid-friendly space? Our Salt Box mimic’s a seaside sandbox complete with beach toys to keep the kids occupied while they breathe in the benefits of halotherapy.
IONCLEANSE® FOOT DETOX
Improve your health through detoxification.
