ARTIST'S BOX Assignment 02

Having to assemble and build this artist's box is an on-hand experience. This project serves as an introduction to basic carpentry skills. By going to the workshop, we were able to operate cutting machines and /or demonstrate the usage of tools in the workshop.

REFLECTION

By the end of the semester, I realized that this module was not only educating, but really entertaining. While gaining experience and skills, I even got to involve myself in an on-hand experience workshop. Though I had some issues to overcome, Ms. Suzy and Mr. Redzwan helped a lot through out all the problems. At first the first assignment was a bit confusing as I didn't know what to draw every week. Even though we were supposed to do 3 drawings each week, because of so, I didn't get to do it properly. But every after tutorial, Ms.Suzy, cleared on how am I supposed to do and helped me on how to draw my drawings better each week. And because I get to see my other classmates work, we can all learn from each other. Starting the second project which was the Artist's Box, I didn't have many obstacles as Mr.Nurshafandi (Fandi) helped a lot. With all the problems I had, he could manage to find interesting ways to help us get through the project. Last but not least the Kinetic Wall project was quite challenging for me. It was hard to think of what to make for this project as I couldn't get many good ideas for it, but as time passes I managed to learn more. Then it got to where pandemic was coming again and so, we didn't get to experience the process of making the final project in real life. It was such a shame. Other than that, this module was very exciting to do and with the help of Ms. Suzy and Mr. Redzwan, it got better. Ms. Suzy was also very caring about her students as she did check up on us a few times. I hope both of the lecturers can teach us some more in the future.
