Museum

Individual | Bhopal , India

Brief: Design a museum that celebrates the city of Bhopal, its past, present and future.

Type: Museum

Software Used: Revit, Autocad , Lumion, Rhinoceros, Photoshop

Bhopal, a city steeped in cultural heritage, boasts a captivating history, encompassing its man-made lakes and the infamous begum rule. The museum’s mission is to rekindle the city’s connection with its inhabitants, delving into its past, present, and future, while celebrating the myriad of elements that make Bhopal truly unique.

CONCEPT NOTE

The museum’s intent is to provide visitors with a journey through the history, current state, and future of the city as it undergoes continuous transformation. It encompasses different facets that contribute to the city’s distinctiveness as part of this immersive experience.

Bhopal, renowned for its cascading artificial lakes, serves as the muse for the museum’s architecture. The building takes the shape of three cylinders, each diminishing in size, symbolizing the gradual flow of water from one lake to the next. Additionally, the design mirrors Bhopal’s evolution, starting from its modest beginnings and progressing into the rapidly developing city it is today.

Located in the peaceful and spiritually revitalizing surroundings of Rishikesh, India, Moksha is crafted to offer a life-changing journey for those in search of inner tranquility and self-exploration.

Nestled among the verdant Himalayan foothills, right by the sacred Ganges River, Moksha’s tranquil ambiance creates an ideal backdrop for spiritual revival.

CONCEPT NOTE

The pursuit of Moksha encompasses four distinct paths: ‘Bhakti,’ the path of devotion; ‘Karma,’ the path of selfless service; ‘Gyana,’ the path of knowledge; and ‘Raja,’ the path of discipline.

The Moksha center is thoughtfully designed with the aim of facilitating soul liberation by offering dedicated spaces for individuals to explore and follow each of these four paths.
