Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India The aim of this project is to design a state-of-the-art convention center in Bhopal that serves as a versatile and dynamic hub for hosting a wide range of events, conferences, exhibitions, and cultural gatherings.

The convention center will embody architectural excellence, functional efficiency, and sustainability, contributing to the city’s cultural and economic growth while providing a welcoming space for individuals and communities to connect, learn, and celebrate.

A ramp within an art gallery offers a unique spatial experience allowing visitors to move smoothly between different levels while engaging with the artwork.

Service corridor for the exhibition space. It facilitates the movement of staff, materials and equipment designed to avoid disrupting public areas.

Exhibition spaces vary widely in size, layout, lighting and design to create the desired atmosphere for the type of art being displayed.

TEACH ON THE BEACH Educational Center Design

Busua, Ghana, West Africa The goal of this competition is to transform the classroom that is presently being built by TOB into a fully equipped educational center that provides a pleasant and suitable environment for learning, socializing, and community involvement. The creation of the new educational center would enable TOB to broaden its reach by serving more children, offering a wider range of subjects and activities, providing education programs for adults, and promoting crosscultural comprehension among pupils and volunteers.

Traditional mud-brick structures with conical thatched roofs represent local building techniques, adopted to the climate.

They reflect the deep connection between the people and the environment, utilizing natural resources for sustainable living.

Sacred groves and rivers hold spiritual significance, reflecting harmony between humans and the environment. Agriculture remains pivotal, reflecting sustainable practices and deep connections to the land. Ghana’s culture embodeis a profound respect for nature, nurturing a balanced and symbiotic relationship.

OAN Grants Program Fellowship Recipient

Majnu-Ka-Tilla, Delhi, India The proposal seeks to provide a recreational solution for the people of Aruna Nagar - an informal settlement around Majnu-Ka-Tilla. Understanding the context and community, the authors realise lack of a playground and the danger the children face playing on the streets. The proposal identifies an abandoned space near the settlement and attempts to reactivate and rejuvenate it with an intervention designed as per the needs and spreading awareness about road safety.

Number of settlers rises, coming under the notice of Delhi Government and provides Rahen Basera.

Due to political clash, the park was gated and turned to dumping ground.

THE SITUATION Majnu ka Tilla is a colony located in North Delhi district, established around 1950. It is a unique repository of Tibetan refugees and exemplifies a successful balance of cultural preservation and assimilation into their host nation.

The community’s history may be traced back to a temporary colony in the Parsvanath housing land, from which they were forcibly evacuated 25 years ago and relocated themselves next to the road leading to the highway.

VEHICLE COUNT SURVEY This survey was intended to gather the vehicular count for the 2 junctions on a week day and on a weekend. The data was recorded to analyse the traffic for an implementable design of the traffic island. The data demonstrated that road leading north to PWD warehouse is one way with the least traffic. Traffic island was planned to start from the footpath itself allowing vehicles to pass through from one side only.

THE LOGO The logo blends three essential elements: a book, a bookmark, and a coffee mug. It captures the essence of a cozy reading environment combined with the pleasure of sipping a warm cup of coffee.

For the color palette, earthy tones such as warm browns, soft grays, and muted blues can be used to evoke a soothing atmosphere. The colors complement each other harmoniously, creating a balanced and inviting visual experience.
