Yeoman Rainguard XL Aluminium rainwater systems are immensely versatile, being available in a range of sizes, profiles, and lengths and suitable for all types of buildings, but especially those requiring a heritage feel.

Though a traditional appearance, XL comes with all the modern benefits such as quick and easy installation using joint fix technology. The textured powder coating supplied as standard ensures durability and a maintenance-free lifecycle of 30+ years.

With a choice of colour finishes to choose from, either RAL, BS or more commercial colour ranges such as Dulux, Farrow & Ball or Little Greene, dovetailing gutters and downpipes into traditional exterior design has never been easier.

HERITAGE REPLICATION TO PERFECTION WITH GRP RAINWATER SYSTEMS

Yeoman Rainguard’s GRP gutters and downpipes come into their own where part or full replacement of original rainwater systems are required.

GRP is a durable yet lightweight product that can be particularly useful for the replacement of heavy systems, such as lead and “long drop” pipes where the handling of a lighter-weight material is easier for installation.

Manufactured at Yeoman Rainguard’s specialist workshop, the GRP range of products offers the option of bespoke gutters and rainwater hoppers for when exact replicas of original systems or innovative designs are required, helping gutters and downpipes to seamlessly sit side by side with original detailing and architecture.

On occasions, GRP has been accepted as a replacement on Listed Buildings – especially when there is an increased risk of metal theft.

TX Cast Iron Soil Pipes are manufactured in grey cast iron which exceeds BSEN 1561 Grade EN-JL 1020, ISO 185 Grade 15 requirements.

These pipes benefit from an easy installation using push-fit sockets.

Suitable for conservation and listed buildings as well as new builds the TX can also be used with Yeoman Rainguard Cast Iron and XL Aluminium Gutters & Downpipes.

N.B. Push fit sockets supplied with EPDM rubber sealing rings as standard suitable for most applications. If aggressive waste liquids are being discharged please check with our technical team to check the suitability of these sealing rings.

YEOMAN RAINGUARD HELPS

HERITAGE BUILDING KEEP WITH TRADITION

As part of the continuing refurbishment of The Heritage Building (the old original hospital) at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, new rainwater hoppers and pipes are being installed in stages.

YEOMAN RAINGUARD FITTED ON ICONIC WORTHING PIER

Yeoman Rainguard supplied Cast Iron rainwater systems to Worthing Pier as part of a major external improvement project carried out by the main contractor, Full Metal Jacket.

The pier, which is a Grade II listed building, is over a160 years old and has been described as one of the most beautiful in the country.

For the pier project, Yeoman Rainguard supplied the contractor with special Cast Iron products – 210 x 150mm MOG Cast Iron Gutter

and 150 x 100mm cast iron pipe, supplied ready for them to paint in their choice of colour.

Yeoman Rainguard Cast Iron Rainwater Systems offer all the benefits of traditional materials and designs. Ideal in conservation areas or for listed buildings, cast iron is strong and durable and will give years of service if correctly maintained.

Yeoman Rainguard’s representative took all the measurements on-site at the pier to ensure that the product fitted seamlessly on this iconic building.

Supplied and manufactured in GRP material by Yeoman Rainguard at their head office facilities in Leeds, the Hoppers and Downpipes have been chosen in a design and colour to be in keeping with the art deco style of the Heritage Building which was erected in the early 1930s.

Replacing the aging system is Yeoman Rainguard’s GRP 100mm dia. Standard Clip Downpipes and large Highland Rainwater Hoppers in an Agate Grey colour.

GRP is a durable and impact resistant construction material which being lightweight can assist the installation on very high-rise or multistorey buildings such as the Heritage Building.

Once installed this tough rainwater system will not require maintenance, other than the occasional clear out, and as a through colour material the UV stable hoppers and downpipes will not be pervious to colour bleaching thus eliminating the need for repainting.

YEOMAN RAINGUARD CHOSEN FOR LUXURY RENOVATION

Nestled in the foothills of the South Pennines near Rochdale, Lancashire, is the restoration and conversion, by Persimmon Homes, of the old Birch Hill Hospital into stunning apartments and town houses.

The use of the beautiful historic building, gracing Rochdale’s landscape since 1877, has certainly changed starting out originally as a workhouse then run as an NHS hospital for many years.

The dilapidated hospital, imposing clock tower, chapel and rectory required sympathetic restoration techniques by Persimmon Homes’ team to maintain and restore the buildings grand architecture and design.

Yeoman Rainguard’s XL Aluminium rainwater systems, with traditional style, textured finish and colour, were chosen to mirror the grandeur and luxury of the renovation scheme.

The exterior of what was the main hospital and clock tower, now exclusive and desirable apartments, was enhanced both visually and practically by the installation of Yeoman Rainguard XL Aluminium gutters and down pipes. Finished in RAL7012 Basalt Grey, 150 x 100mm MOG XL Aluminium gutters were fitted with the addition of 100mm Dia. down pipes.

The Chapel has been tastefully remodelled into 2 semi-detached properties and now sports XL Aluminium 125 x 100mm MOG gutters and 100mm dia. downpipes. Finished again in Grey the rainwater system dovetails perfectly with the overall exterior design.

The systems, all installed by a Yeoman Rainguard directly employed fixing operative, not only complement the character of the original buildings but offer an extremely functional and durable rainwater system that will give 30 years and upwards of maintenance-free service.
