From the dark days of the Poll Tax through the laissez-faire nineties to the ghastly government work schemes of the new millennium, Filius has marched onwards to the sound of his own personal drummer and constructed a uniquely apologist philosophy along the way. 2 &8211NORTHERN DOLE by JACK HESSELL: Northern Dole is the candid account of an unemployed man in his sixtieth year reflecting on his life to date and the situation in which he unexpectedly finds himself. Jack Hessell is not an accomplished writer, as he would be the first to admit, but by laying down of his thoughts and reflections during the most trying period of his life he hopes to permit others to analyse, understand, and perhaps learn from his mistakes or to reassure themselves that such tribulations have not happened and could not happen to them.
