The name Konyaalti originates from the expression of “koy alti” which in the Turkish language means “the bay under the cliffs” The area is surrounded by the Taurus Mountains and has the world famous Konyaalti beach stretching all the way to Antalya city centre. There are various beaches along this coastline including sand and shingle and here the water is slightly cooler due to the underground creek that flows into the sea. A very popular beach which is lined with many bars, fantastic restaurants and water sports for you to enjoy.
The area has some fantastic shops and the large Migros shopping centre which is nearby has some great shops and restaurants. This area also has a fantastic aquarium which has many different species of fish and the biggest underwater tunnel giving you a fantastic experience of walking underneath all the fantastic fish this aquarium houses, a great place to visit. The area also has a dolphin land with daily shows, museums and many parks to explore.
