The Salesian Experience Lindon Krasniqi ‘18

For many years, Salesian High School has offered a wide variety of classes, clubs and events. To many of the students who already attend the school, this statement is rather obvious, but many students still don’t see the wide variety of clubs and events. Every year brings something unique, and improves the overall atmosphere of the school. The

The Eagles had difficulty during the start of their quest for glory, in losing the first two sets to Regis. Meanwhile, Eagles fans continued to cheer on their boys, completely silencing the crowd for Regis. The Eagles used the love of their fans to bounce back and win the third and fourth sets, shattering the 2-0 lead that Regis held. This drove the intense match into the fifth set, which was all the more competitive and thrilling!

The Eagles started off the fifth set poorly, allowing Regis to take the lead with a score of 10-2. However, our boys persevered and pushed back, driving the set to a 14-14 tie. After a series of back-and-forth tiebreakers, the score quickly became 18-18. Sadly, Regis got the best of our team and beat us by scoring two more points, with a final score of 20-18. There is no question that people today, especially young people, are losing the faith. This is not a matter of opinion; multiple surveys and polls have come to this same conclusion. While many may not think this is a big deal, it certainly is. God should be at the center of everything you do in life. Without Him, there is nothing - no joy, love, or even life. God is, therefore, the source of

generation to be like the prodigal son, and go back to the father. If everyone knew the love of God, there would not be bullying, hatred, war, or crime. It is time for this generation to end secularization and instead, spread the Good News and believe!

Do not be find yourself in that position of wishing, because that means you have made a bad decision. Instead, realize the consequences that will come along with each act you are committing, good and bad. Use this to make decisions!

This has definitely been a unique but great year for all students alike. We’ve all had to adjust to new teachers, a new setting at school and new friends; yet, God planned all this not to hinder us but to let us grow. The year has thrown so much at us including Midterms, AP’s, the loss of loved ones, new friendships and soon to be final exams. All these events are not to hold us back but to

Good decisions will lead you to a life of purity in good standings with the Lord. I urge this generation of young adults to strengthen their conscience for the sake of living a pure life.

Next year we can look on with confidence that it will be another great year if not better than this year, as the sophomores officially become upperclassmen and the Juniors officially become the Seniors of Salesian. Next year is filled with mystery and we must have faith that God has paved us a road to success! Just trust in God’s plans and sure enough we’ll finish this year strong, for He
