WHO WE ARE The Albany Park Community Center, Inc. (APCC), is a not-for-profit, community-based organization located in the multi-ethnic Chicago neighborhood of Albany Park. The Center operates a wide range of programs and services in and around the community we serve and since its inception, has been the largest social service agency exclusively serving Albany Park. The Center’s program facility is located at 5101 North Kimball Avenue.

WHAT WE DO Since 1975, Albany Park Community Center (APCC) has worked to meet the needs of immigrant families throughout Chicago. APCC’s mission is to educate and support members of the community as they determine their own path of growth and development by providing diverse programs and services for individuals, families, groups, and businesses.

CHILDREN & YOUTH PROGRAMS At APCC we provide comprehensive, high-quality pre-k & childcare for children 2-5 years of age. Our childcare programs foster social-emotional, cognitive and physical development through a play-based curriculum. Each child’s sense of individual worth and belonging is placed at the forefront of our program.

We take pride in offering culturally, and linguistically informed teaching strategies that meet the diverse needs of the families and community we serve.

ADULT EDUCATION & WORKFORCE Our Adult Education Division includes classes for those looking to obtain their High School Diploma/Equivalency (GED), learn English as a Second Language (ESL), study for their Citizenship exam or gain employment.

MENTAL HEALTH & WELLNESS Our early childhood educators and staff place the mental health & wellness of each child at the forefront of our work. We ensure our team is well equipped to provide trauma informed care to children enrolled in our program while offering mental health workshops for parents. We invite you to watch the short video below where you will meet APCC’s Mental Health Consultant Whitney Kreiter LCSW, while learning more about how parents at out our center can best support the mental health of their child.

APCC MILESTONES STAND UP FOR APCC Community members were able to kick off the holidays at APCC’s first-ever comedy showcase featuring some of the best “up and coming” comedians in Chicago! Attendees mingled, laughed, and supported a great cause at Foxhole Creative.

#GivingTuesdayNow #GivingTuesdayNow was an opportunity for people around the world to stand together in unity -- to use their individual power of generosity to remain connected and heal.

Now and in the aftermath of COVID-19, our community needs our support more than ever. We are incredibly thankful to our community of supporters who have joined the #GivingTuesdayNow movement by making a donation and helped APCC raise $6,007! This will help ensure that we can continue to serve and support the community we love. OUTCOMES & RESULTS

Early Education Program 94% of children meet or exceed the widely held expectations for cognitive development.

Youth Program 77% of the children in the program speak a language other than English.

12 different langages are spoken in our programs.

Adult Education & Training 70.75% of students achieved level gains in reading

Counseling Program 95% of students surveyed in our counseling program said their lives were improved due to our intervention.
