Vision St Andrews Lutheran College is a learning community founded on, and continually formed by, the Christian Gospel, and informed by our Lutheran Church teachings and confessions. St Andrews seeks to deepen its life as a Christ-centered community where the Good News of the Gospel is in, through and under all that is done. We will: • Use our God-given talents and gifts in Service of others. • Develop relationships of care and a culture where every person matters every day. • Learn inside and outside the classroom, to foster the development of each person. • Develop young men and women of character who are prepared to lead in the community.

We acknowledge God’s Word as the authority and guide for the community. In it Christ is revealed, providing the centre of all we do under God’s grace. Faith enables us to look forward with expectation and confidence, placing our trust in God’s provision.

Integrity is at the core of how others see us and as such, we seek to hold fast to what is good, by being honest, fair, trustworthy, respectful and ethical in everything we do. Integrity means we do the right thing and make the right choices, even when no one is watching.

Seeking knowledge, reason, wisdom and truth is core to a St Andrews Education. We believe that we are to serve one another and the community. Selfless giving We believe the joy and challenge of ongoing learning is fundamental to life, and and making a difference in the lives of others by identifying and responding to encourage inquiry and curiosity. We value the whole person, and show that each person and future-orientated. At St Andrews we learn, not for ourselves alone, but for the good of others and the world. We also strive to develop skills and attitudes that will help to create a more Growth – ‘The Spirit of Character’ peaceful and sustainable world. A St Andrews Education focuses on developing the whole child. At St Andrews we strive to intentionally develop young men and women who are caring, compassionate, ethical, moral, resilient, courageous, disciplined and respectful.

Strategies • Empower innovative thinkers and problem solvers in an era of rapid change and emerging needs. • Lead innovatively to enhance learning and equip students with critical and creative skills; ethical, intercultural understandings and international mindedness. • Focus on literacy, numeracy and thinking skills while holding high expectations for academic engagement and endeavour. • Provide opportunities for participation, growth and

success across a wide variety of curricular and cocurricular learning activities that develop students’ knowledge, skills, interests, talents, values and character. • Build the capacity and expertise of staff so they can respond to the fundamental and emerging needs, practices and pedagogies that support quality learning. • Promote collaboration and co-production amongst staff and students to develop rich and rigorous learning experiences for individual learners.
