Editor’s letter Welcome to the first issue of SAKINA We are five young Muslim women who aim to empower and uplift young girls through experiences and different aspects of life. The personal lives of Muslim women don’t have much of a presence on a global scale which is why we wanted to do something about it. We are a part of a movement that is aimed towards opening doors for young Muslimahs to ensure that they get the representation they deserve. Inside, you’ll find a range of beauty, mental health, features and regular columns on arts & culture topics. We hope that you are able to read our stories and find a source of inspiration. Our journey up until this point has been a wild ride and we have many people to thank for that.
