Add a cover page with the title, subtitle, and author name

Insert page numbers (optional for PDF, not needed for EPUB).

2. Create an Attractive Cover

Use free tools like Canva or Figma to design a high-quality cover (size for Amazon KDP: 2560 × 1600 px for eBook).

Save it as a JPEG or PNG

3. Choose the Right File Format

You can prepare your eBook in multiple formats:

PDF → Best for direct selling (Gumroad, Etsy, your own site).

EPUB → For most eReaders (Apple Books, Kobo).

MOBI → For Kindle devices (Amazon KDP).

4. Convert Your File

From Word/Google Docs, Export as PDF directly

To make EPUB or MOBI:

Use Calibre (free software) or Reedsy Book Editor (online).

Or export from Canva if the whole book is designed there

5. Compress & Finalize

Keep your file under 50MB for easy downloads

Use ILovePDF or SmallPDF to compress

Test it on your phone, tablet, and computer.

6. Package for Selling

If selling on Gumroad, Etsy, or your website:

Upload the final PDF/EPUB/MOBI file

Write a short product description.

Add your eBook cover as the display image.

If selling on Amazon KDP:

Upload the DOCX, EPUB, or KPF file

Amazon automatically converts it for Kindle
