Troparion – Tone 7 (Resurrection) By Thy Cross Thou didst destroy death. To the thief Thou didst open Paradise. For the Myrrhbearers Thou didst change weeping into joy. And Thou didst command Thy disciples, O Christ God, to proclaim that Thou art risen,//granting the world great mercy.

Troparion – Tone 8 (St. Vladimir) O Holy Prince Vladimir, you were like a merchant in search of fine pearls. By sending servants to Constantinople for the Orthodox Faith, you found Christ, the priceless Pearl. He appointed you to be another Paul, washing away in baptism your physical and spiritual blindness. We celebrate your memory, asking you to pray for all suffering Christians of Russia //and for us, your spiritual children.

Troparion – Tone 3

(Saints Athanasius & Cyril)

You shone forth with works of Orthodoxy and quenched all heresy, and became victorious trophybearers, O hierarchs Athanasius and Cyril. You enriched all things with piety and greatly adorned the Church, and worthily found Christ God, Who grants His great mercy to all.//intercede before the Word, Christ our God, to save our souls!

Kontakion – Tone 7 (Resurrection) The dominion of death can no longer hold men captive, for Christ descended, shattering and destroying its powers. Hell is bound, while the Prophets rejoice and cry: “The Savior has come to those in faith;//enter, thou faithful, into the Resurrection!”

Kontakion – Tone 4 (Saints Athanasius & Cyril) O Athanasius and Cyril, great hierarchs of true piety, and noble champions of the Church of Christ, Preserve all who sing://O Compassionate Lord, save those who honor Thee! Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit!

Kontakion – Tone 8 (St. Vladimir) O Most-glorious Vladimir, in your old age you imitated the great apostle Paul: he abandoned childish things, while you forsook the idolatry of your youth. Together with him you reached the fullness of Divine Wisdom: you were adorned with the purity of Holy Baptism. //Now as you stand before Christ our Savior, pray that all Orthodox Christians may be saved. Now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen. Then we sing: “Steadfast Protection of Christians that is not put to shame…” Epistle – 1Timothy 1:15-17 Gospel – Luke 18:35-43
