One of the greatest soccer players of all time, Pelé, once said, “Success is no accident It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do ”
In 2023, the success the Saint Simeon’s Foundation experienced was largely due to the incredible past and present staff who show up daily to care for the Residents of Saint Simeon’s. Following what some called a banner year in 2022 for the Foundation, we set our 2023 goals and aspirations even higher
Our success was no accident From our dedicated Board of Trustees to our volunteers and the entire foundation staff, we worked extremely hard to ensure we continued to raise the necessary funds to support the Home for the next 64 years
Led by our incredible event chairs, James and Nancy Hicks, Western Days 2023: Yellowstone raised a whopping $983,000. I want to acknowledge their incredible team of volunteers: Sharon Bell and Greg Gray - Patron Chairs; Doug and Elizabeth Crews - Auction Chairs; and their advisors, Beth Brown, Hilary Clark, Melissa Stallcup, Jane Faulkenberry, and Amy Dodson Through their dedicated efforts, we established the Saint Simeon’s Forever: Capital Endowment a permanent endowment to provide annual capital support to the Home
We set our aspirations even higher as we turn the page to a new year Saint Simeon’s is on the cusp of a transformational strategic plan that will again lead senior care in Tulsa for another 64 years We are excited about our impact on our community and look forward to partnering with you, our donors, to achieve even greater heights
Lastly, I’d like to thank George Dotson and Ross Swimmer for their support and leadership. George and Ross recently decided to f the term in December 2023 Their presence will be missed, but I re advocates and supporters of our mission and are only a phone call a

Since the mid-1980s, any time you would mention Saint Simeon’s, you would also mention Phyllis and George Dotson This dynamic, incredibly giving couple recently decided to retire from their leadership positions at the Foundation at the end of their Board terms. George will continue to serve as a Trustee for the Home.
For 38 years, Phyllis and George served the Saint Simeon’s family through their time, talent, and treasure, ensuring all who came through our doors received the incomparable hospitality and exceptional care their family received here
They were an integral part of creating a culture of philanthropy centered around the Residents and their Families at Saint Simeon’s. They are visionaries, fundraisers, leaders, volunteers, and most importantly family.

During a recent Care Plan Meeting, a resident’s family members expressed how pleased they are with the care environment and staff in the home, but they specifically wanted to recognize Maria.
"Maria provides individualized care, not only to our mother, but to everyone in the home. Our Mother doesn’t usually like to come out, but Maria has a way of getting her to, and she has really enjoyed it. It truly feels like a 'homelike' setting."

Seanna greets everyone with a smile and a helpful attitude She is always a team player and I appreciate her hard work getting residents in to receive the care they need! We are lucky to have her on our team!
Facility Services Supervisor
Ed is very dedicated to serve in whatever way is necessary. He is always here and does his job with a smile. He is a great member of the Saint Simeon’s team!

Devan takes her time and listens to what is needed. She isn’t afraid to work on the floor and show the staff true teamwork.
Payroll Coordinator
Jennifer helps with a very difficult process. She is very aware of how her role affects others and is always looking out for problems that may arise. She works hard to serve not only the employees, but Saint Simeon’s as a whole.
CNA, Medical Resort
Altamae is a very hard worker. She answered any light that was on and she helped me with the total lift without me asking. She already had the supplies set out for each person when putting them to bed. She knows each resident very well and she was able to help with charting. I had a lot of questions, and she was able to answer them without hesitation. She is a team player. Overall, she has been one of the hardest working CNAs that I have seen since I’ve been working here.
