Master of Science in Health Science The Master of Science in Health Science program at Saint Peter’s University is designed for students and professionals who want to make a difference in local and global communities by introducing the scientific study and research of issues related to health sciences. In our ever-changing global environment, our MSHS program is dedicated to preparing future leaders and educators in the health sciences to think critically and lead ethically, grounded in the Jesuit values and traditions. In order to meet the challenges facing the healthcare industry and to respond to critical needs in various healthcare settings, our health science leaders must work collaboratively to care for the whole person, cura personalis, for and with the well-being of others. A Master’s in Health Science allows individuals from various educational and professional backgrounds to leverage a single graduate program of study to pursue or advance careers in the healthcare industry.
Program Overview Our MSHS degree prepares diverse leaders to address complex issues that affect today’s dynamic health science environments. With two specialty tracks in Health Education and Leadership, the 36-credit program allows you to customize your education to meet your career goals. Our expert faculty incorporate their personal, practical experiences into their courses, offering first hand insight to the field of health science. Students will expand and enhance their leadership skills to pursue their professional goals in the field. Our graduates will be prepared to think critically, develop, and refine problem-solving and decision-making skills needed in various healthcare settings, improving the quality of healthcare and educational outcomes.

The MSHS program offers students a high-quality education at an affordable price. The flexible, online option allows students to be employed full-time while also advancing their education and careers. As a full-time student or working professional, the program offers courses in the Fall, Winter, and Spring Trimesters so you can finish your degree within 15 months. Throughout the program, students will develop and refine the skills necessary to prepare for a successful career in public and private healthcare organizations or in health-related educational programs and conduct research. Our graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to lead educational programs addressing quality care, ethical concerns, and shaping health policy.
