Deputy Principal – Physical & Creative Learning

Principal’s Welcome

aint Kentigern College is proud to introduce the new leadership position of Deputy Principal –Physical and Creative Learning, a role that sits at the centre of an exciting evolution in how we shape student experience. This role is the cornerstone of a strategic model designed to create a more cohesive, integrated, and purposedriven journey for every student—one where academic learning is meaningfully connected to physical, creative, and cultural expression.

At its core, the Physical and Creative Learning model is designed to create unity of purpose across our PE, Health and Sport, Creative Arts, and Performing Arts programmes. It aligns curricular and co-curricular leadership to foster deep engagement, enrich personal development, and reflect the full diversity of student interests and strengths. By strengthening the relationship between what happens in the classroom and what occurs beyond it, this model ensures students experience a seamless, relevant, and energising education.

This model is grounded in three core principles:

• Integration – Ensuring that learning programmes and co-curricular experiences are aligned, enhancing interdisciplinary opportunities and building stronger connections between students’ passions and their learning.

• Inclusion – Making sure every student, regardless of background or ability, has equitable access to participate, grow, and excel.

A Holistic Approach – Committing to the development of the whole student—intellectually, socially, emotionally, spiritually, and physically.

What this model is designed to create goes beyond structural efficiency. It is about creating environments where students see meaning in what they do, where creative and physical pursuits are not extra but essential to their development. It is about students discovering their sense of purpose through movement, performance, collaboration, and challenge. It is about building stronger communities through shared experiences, deepened cultural identity, and inclusive celebration of talent and character.

Character development lies at the centre of this vision. By integrating programmes and leadership, we are better positioned to cultivate resilience, leadership, integrity, and service. The model also strengthens relationships with families and alumni, creating a sustainable foundation for long-term community engagement.

The Deputy Principal – Physical and Creative Learning will play a pivotal role in leading this vision. It is a role for someone who sees education as a dynamic, interconnected journey—and who will champion opportunities for all students to be seen, supported, and inspired through the power of physical and creative learning.

I welcome you to take a closer look at this exciting opportunity and the vision it supports. We are seeking a leader who shares our commitment to studentcentred, future-focused education, and who will help shape the next chapter of holistic excellence at Saint Kentigern College.

By integrating programmes and leadership, we are better positioned to cultivate resilience, leadership, integrity, and service.
