As part of Cleveland Clinic’s Philanthropy Institute, Abby is able to witness firsthand how small things add up to make a major impact. Her work benefits those in need by helping to raise funds for medical treatment and research. As a member of this philanthropy team, she connects with medical professionals and patients to ensure treatment for all. Abby also takes a strong interest in women’s leadership causes, participating in the Academy’s Women’s Leadership Symposium to help young women connect with professionals and realize new career opportunities. Abby is a member of several professional organizations: Brookings Institution’s Women’s Leadership Network, Cleveland Clinic Women in Search of Excellence (WISE) and the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She not only exemplifies compassionate leadership and service in her career and professional associations, but she also volunteers at Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital, Velosano, Providence House and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. In Clare’s work as an Occupational Therapist, she shows empathetic care for those she serves. Clare’s heart for helping others doesn’t stop in her career; she volunteers her time to several organizations including Camp TimberNook and Gigi’s Playhouse. In addition to volunteering and working full-time, Clare also works part-time at the Harrison Center for Children, providing her services on an outpatient basis to promote increased independence. During her time at Xavier University, Clare volunteered her time and resources to provide occupational therapy services for individuals in Guatemala. Clare uses her passion for service to deepen her relationship with God and others.

Natalie has recognized the need for global connection in her own neighborhood. Through her leadership, she promotes diversity and cultural awareness in her volunteer work with the Lorain International Princess Pageant. As the chairperson, Natalie coaches participating young women to be strong and independent while embracing their ethnic heritage. Natalie serves as the vice president of the Lorain International Association and the secretary for the Lorain County Young Democrats. Inspired by her time at Saint Joseph Academy, Natalie has taken her positive disposition and spirit of a leader into her own classroom. Currently, she sits on the schoolwide Positive Behavior Support Team, an initiative that rewards students for positive behavior rather than providing consequences for negative actions. Natalie’s patience, kindness and unifying love have shown through in her career, making her Keystone High School’s Educator of the Month two academic years in a row.
