ur dear Sr. Kathleen Carey, CSJ ’49 (formerly known as Sr. Mary Terrence), passed away on December 21. Sister Kathleen was such a big part of Saint Joseph Academy for many years – as a student, teacher, interim principal, alumnae director and chief cheerleader for our dear alma mater. She loved everyone and everyone loved Sister Kathleen! May she rest in peace. In 2013, “The Sr. Kathleen Carey, CSJ ’49 Endowed Scholarship” was established to honor Sr. Kathleen, providing tuition assistance for a young woman with a demonstrated financial need at Saint Joseph Academy. The scholarship ensures that Sr. Kathleen will have an impact on Saint Joseph Academy in perpetuity. Contributions are always welcome to honor Sr. Kathleen’s legacy.
