Saint Francis University’s overall employment/ graduate school rate for the Class of 2016 remains competitive at 98% employed or attending graduate school within 9 months of graduation (97% employed or attending graduate school within 6 months). This data includes undergraduate and graduate students who received degrees through one of the four Schools: Arts & Letters, Business, Health Sciences, Sciences, as well as through our Division of Adult Degree and Continuing Studies

Graduates secured employment or entered graduate or professional school in highdemand occupational fields including: Health Science, Business, Information Technology, Engineering, Communications, Social Services, Athletics, Education, Science, and Research

◆ The Class of 2016 is the largest class of graduates in the past 10 years

◆ The average salary range for the Class of 2016 was $50,000 – $59,999

◆ 78% of graduates believe that their internship, field experience, clinical rotations, student teaching, or other experiential education experience was instrumental in obtaining full-time employment

◆ 85% of graduates said they agree strongly or agree that Saint Francis University was instrumental in developing their faith and/or values for life after college

◆ 23% of the graduates who received bachelor’s degrees are attending graduate or professional school, which is consistent with the average over the last five years.

◆ Of the Class of 2016 graduates who received a bachelor’s degree and continued on to graduate or professional school, 71% are studying at Saint Francis University

◆ The number of graduates that are both employed and attending graduate or professional school increased by 2%

Methodology

The 2016 First Destination Survey was distributed by the Career Services Office to 764 undergraduate and graduate students who graduated in December 2015 and May or Summer of 2016 Each graduate received an email with a link to the survey and a paper copy of the survey by regular mail in November of 2016 Two months later, in January 2017, each non-respondent was contacted again by email and regular mail Faculty, staff, advisors and academic departments were then contacted to obtain any available post-graduation information for non-respondents In addition to the mailings and faculty contact, follow-up phone calls and emails were made to non-respondents Social media tools (LinkedIn, Facebook, and Google) were also used to retrieve graduate information

Dillon Brown School of Sciences

Creating video games reminiscent of Space Invaders in his high school computer programming class piqued Dillon’s interest in Computer Science

That interest (and a double major in Computer Science/Applied Mathematics) eventually landed him a position as a Software Developer with New Pig Corporation Based out of Tipton, PA, New Pig helps businesses manage leaks, drips and spills to create clean and safe environments with their products being used in over 300,000 facilities worldwide

Pablo Medina School of Business

A standout soccer player from Mexico City, Mexico, Pablo made the long journey to SFU with the goal of playing for a Division I team But his athletic successes soon followed him off the field and onto a path he never expected Pablo graduated a decorated triple major in Finance, Accounting, and Management Information Systems with multiple honors His SFU accomplishments led him to New York City, where he accepted an Investment Banking Analyst position at Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Global Technology, Media & Telecom Group Pablo’s goals may have changed since his first days at SFU, but his drive for success remains

Danielle MacMur trie School of Health Sciences

Danielle blended her love of anatomy and art during her time at Saint Francis University, creating large scale oil paintings for the School of Health Sciences. After graduating with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree she began working at the HealthSouth Rehab Hospital in Lancaster There she found the perfect patient population to build her skills as a new PT, while gaining exposure to more complex cases. She has also created her own little version of the SFU “Boiler House” Fine Arts studio in her apartment
