BISCUIT'S BULLETIN

FROM THE DIRECTOR

In This Issue

Dear Day School Community,

The school year ended on such a high note, with the Day School Dash and Pre-K/TK moving-up ceremonies It is always bittersweet to celebrate the children who are graduating and moving on to their next learning community, yet reassuring to know they will stay connected to the Day School and return in some capacity We see evidence of this every year in our summer camp counselor staff

We had a wonderful summer camp again this year! The school was filled with delight as we hosted five amazing weeks of camp, serving well over 100 children each week. It was a blast. Facilitated by our exuberant staff of educators and counselors, the children engaged in activities with themes that included science, sports and games, cooking, and arts and crafts. Each week, we had a special guest or activity that brought us experiences such as lawn games with giant bubbles, soccer and basketball clinics, a mesmerizing science show, interactive storytelling, and the opportunity to make ice cream by hand. While the special events were a huge success, the best part was the good old-fashioned summer camp fun of making new friends, reconnecting with old ones, creating treasures both inside and out, and enjoying popsicles - of course! This edition of Biscuit’s Bulletin offers a peek into each spectacular week

Leading this beloved program once again was the incomparable Summer Camp Coordinator Sarah Buchly, who has been part of the Saint Anne’s community for decades This summer, I witnessed her welcome children whose parents she taught when they were in preschool, and I heard them share how excited they were that their children would be able to build the same memories they had In this edition of Biscuit’s Bulletin, we honor Mrs Buchly for her love and service

Finally, we are kicking off the 2025-26 school year by announcing our Year of Biscuit! Our dear mascot turns 20 years old this year, and we will celebrate him with a yearlong, schoolwide study. Stay tuned for more about that!

We look forward to welcoming you all back soon. Take care.

EMBRACING THE WARMTH

Nearing the end of the school year, the children truly embrace being outdoors The sunshine and warmth that May brings gives them the chance to grow in their physical development, use their imaginations, further their social relationships, and spend some of that end-of-the-year enegery we all know and love!

DAY SCHOOL DASH

In May, we hosted the second annual Day School Dash. This exciting, whole-school fundraiser has quickly become one of the most anticipated events of the year! Children down every hallway sported their Dash shirts, boasted their strength, and showed up with incredible participation! The Dash was a hit, with snacks, Kona Ice, Chick-Fil-A, dancing, and tons of running!

DASH DONATIONS & CELEBRATIONS

The Day School Dash is more than the spectacular event we all enjoy The funds raised through this event help the Day School in it’s endeavors of growth and development. Coaches and educators got the children involved in meaningful ways, through affirmations, coin collections, and slow claps. They were excited to be involved in the fundraising and even more excited to celebrate their efforts with costumes, bubble parties, special treats, fire truck visits, and stuffed animal days With the help of our donors and community, the Dash School Dash raised $30,000 this year!
