Curriculum Matters The 2015 academic program has commenced smoothly for all students and it has been a busy but positive week for students and teachers alike as they settle into the routine of effective learning and teaching.

Year 9 Parent Information Evening

Prior to the students returning to the College, all teaching and non-teaching staff undertook additional professional training in the use of the new student management system, known as Xuno, that was first introduced in May 2014.

Parents will gather in St Thomas Church where Mr. Ben Collyer, the Year 9 Coordinator and his homeroom teachers will share some insights into the learning and extra-curricular program in place for that level in 2015.

This system has many features that will enable us to know our students in an even more accurate context, one of the key elements of our distinctive Ignatian approach to learning.

We look forward to meeting you at the Mass or one of the scheduled information evenings as together, we initiate or build further on existing relationships with one another in the year ahead.

In the next few weeks, there will be a number of parent information evenings conducted at the College.

Mrs. Annette Chidzey Acting Deputy Principal [Curriculum]

Brief descriptions of these sessions appear below in terms of dates, times and venues. Additional information can be obtained from the relevant Year Level Coordinators prior to each scheduled evening.

Year 7 Welcome Mass The Welcome Mass will be held in St Thomas Church on Tuesday February 10th commencing at 6.30pm. At the conclusion of the Mass, there will be an opportunity to meet with Ms. Carlon, Year 7 Level Coordinator and/or your son or daughter’s Homeroom teacher before the evening concludes.

Year 8 Parent Information Evening The Year 8 parent information evening will be held in the College Information Learning Centre [ILC] on Monday February 9th commencing at 6-45pm.
