BOATBOOT is developed in our small “dock office” a single footstep from the rough seaside of the southern archipelago of Norway. We create high quality waterproof leather boots that balance function and fashion. For us in BOATBOOT, footwear is craftsmanship. Our boots may be stitched and lasted by a machine in a factory, but in order for the end result to become a pair of BOATBOOTs you need a great deal of design and craftsmanship knowledge through the whole process. The journey from idea to finished boots is quite long, and it isn’t until we feel confident about every single detail, finish and fit, that we’ll start up making final soles, lasts, patterns, cut the leather, stich and run further production.
