ISSUE 2 PSBB

Shri Gurubhyo Namaha !
Time and again we keep realising that Mrs YGP was always ahead of her time: she first conceived inter school culturals, first of its kind at the school level calling it ‘Cultural Cauldron'. I remember Mr Arvind Swamy, the actor, once acknowledged that it was after winning a prize in Psbb Cultural that his interest in acting further grew.
Happy to note that 'Cultural Cauldron' has evolved and so beautifully transformed into ‘Reverberations’ and gained popularity, thanks to every batch making it memorable and meaningful for every participant from different schools.
Not to mention the Psbb student organizers who ensure that each event is curated creatively and interestingly enough to make sure participants enjoy and keep learning more and more each year.
I’m particularly fascinated by this year’s theme - Legends and Lores true dictionary meaning conveys it all what Psbb stands for - its belief and educational philosophy- of customs, tradition, culture, stories- associated with people, thing or place. Something that is learned traditional knowledge as well as knowledge gained through study or experience; enhancing the ability to appreciate our culture, dotted with rich value based stories of yesteryears. I’m sure the event is indeed progressing well in an intellectually stimulating and grand manner . Wishing this year's Reverberations 2022 to be a Legendary one and truly a Lore for years to come for people to narrate and relive their nostalgic stories of success and fun reverberating for years to come !!
Congratulations and Best Wishes to each one of you - the host team - students and teachers and to the enthusiastic talented participants . Our gratitude to our own celebrity alumna , a highly acclaimed musician Ms Sriranjini who has graciously accepted to be our Chief Guest for Reverbs 2022 . Jai Hind !!!

The st e Nungamb nd KK Nag branches nthralled t ience with ly and ener rmances to peppy nes, generating a fervor of excitement, leading to the journey through the magical world of Mythology and historical fiction, in accordance with the theme of the year‘Legends and Lore; Every dancer put in their best efforts to make it an absolute blockbuster!
An ever popular event, ‘Shipwreck’ kept the audience spellbound as the participants vied with one another to impress the judges, Mr. Pragadeeshwaran and Mr. Ashwinkumar, with their wit and earnest arguments, hoping to win the life jacket. The room buzzed with excitement as the spontaneity of the participants was put to test !
It takes talent, dedication and effort to sway in tune with the rhythmic beats played in quick succession and the participants of the five city schools did graceful justice to the event. Dressed in vibrant colors, the dancers regaled the audience with their charm and enthusiasm
The surprise performance by the judges, Mr. Vikas Rao and Mr. Praveen, famous star performers at Vijay TV, was definitely the icing on the delightful cake!
Advertising is not everyone ’ s cup of tea but the members of the six teams who participated in Adzap were convincing in their creativity. They demonstrated their out of the box thinking skills by coming up with ingenious ideas, in their attempt to impress the judges, Mr. Bernard and Mr. Sheik. The teams were judged on their humor, wit and ability to coordinate. The event proved to be a delight to watch !
JAM was a spectacular event in which the participants were expected to speak for a minute without any interruptions, however the constant flow of objections and corrections made by the fellow contestants made the round lively It measured the participants ability to think on their feet and respond with spontaneity and humour on smartly crafted topics like The smaller babies might be delivered by storks but the bigger ones are delivered by cranes etc . The event was uniquely intriguing to all the participants and the spectators alike
To realize the value of a minute, ask a person who missed their train is a common saying but asking a contestant of JAM would do it all After having delivered scintillating performances in the prelims, the 6 finalists from different schools put up a nail biting final round and battled it out on spellbinding topics like Screaming at flowing water is reverberating ,The roundest knight in Camelot was circumference etc. Nithin Karthik Balaji ,the judge, compered the event in an entertaining and captivating manner. This battle against the wittiest and the most skillful was a treat to watch
The five rounds in Lawyers Up witnessed fierce debate over cases ranging from dogs barking to road accidents. The question of course, is who is to be held liable, whether the plaintiff's case stands or not and the morality and legality of arguments. The teams had great points, with the judges stating that " some of the ideas presented were beyond the expectation from school students and added that the participants were well informed”. The highlight was in the delivery of the cases. The poise and grace in answering every question that the judges posed was highly impressive. Speaking of which, the judges posed excellent questions to each of the teams, analyzing each and every aspect of the case leaving nothing ambiguous. The analysis, logic and delivery made Lawyer's Up a delight to report.
Sports do not build character, they reveal it John Wooden Reverberations doesn’t only test our mental abililty, but also our physical agility Six schools with three in each team played with great enthusiasm and energy giving their best shot to win every match. After a series of tiring and competitive rounds CV and DAV Gopalapuram battled it out in the finals. It was a professionally and methodically executed series of heated and exhilarating ball exchanges and DAV won the event with a 10 point advantage.
Box cricket is a modern and simplified version of cricket This sport helps in developing hand eye coordination, endurance and stamina On the whole, it instils the competitive spirit in each player, thus making each one a good team player.
This event was hosted by PSBB SRS which gave an opportunity to 7 teams. Each team in the prelims was given a total of 3 overs. The event witnessed some perfectly timed shots and creative catches
‘Where words fail, music speaks’.Around 5 schools participated in the event and The band performances started off with a bang. Adding a whole new dimension to the world of mances began with the keyboard, heavy drumming wed by gradient singing and inated the audience They contemporary and famous d medleys.Among the teams enomenally talented people nd simultaneously play an nassa Jaishankar,Mr.Ruban a Kamalakannan judged the ic performances of the articipants showcased their astounding music skills and talent and delivered enthralling performances which was a pure bliss to listen to
What’s the point of blocking if no one is going to tackle you? In block and tackle, you do both. It is a modern, nonsensical and hilarious escapade into what debate would be if everything was related and if logic did a triple backflip out the window jumping into a tank that blasted off to a nearby banana vendor.
In block and tackle, topic is key. The judges, Vaibhav and Sashi, were humorous and lively and chose topics that encouraged voyages into absurd connections and ludicrous arguments. They took their time to explain the rules and clarify the doubts that participants and tailored each topic to the interests of the participants. Adding to the farcical debate, the judges confused the participants by rapidly switching the stance of the participants on their topic from the regular Block (for) and Tackle (against), to Blockle (Speaking both for and against) and Spockle (giving a rousing and eloquent elaboration on something as unrelated and ordinary as physics class).
In short, it was intelligent absurdity that was insanely funny.
R’22 has left a lasting impact on me; one of the best experiences of Culturals; full of fun and entertainment. (Block and Tackle)
I thoroughly enjoyed the flash mob;The music host performance Of KKN was a treat to watch; Judges were helpful and jovial(Shipwreck)
