Summertime Fun!

W.o.w the days are heating up, The pool looks better and better each day. Please be sure to stay Hydrated, we have a water fountain that you can fill your water bottles up right inside the door , if they were to run out. Stop in and say hello and see if anything exciting is going on in the clubhouse. Play Jenga and cool off. We have so many new and exciting things going on, don’t forget to check your Calendars attached for events and news going on in the Office.

I feel so many people miss out on things because they did not know, we want to make sure everyone is informed.

UPCOMING AUGUST

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

BINGO! BINGO! BINGO! (Adults only please) - The 3rd Wednesday of every Month on August 15th from 6:30 to 8:00 at the Clubhouse.

August 5th 6:30-8:00 (Ice Cream Social) we will be filling Backpacks for the kids here in the park as they prepare to go back to School. We need all kinds of donations and will accept them all the way up to the event day. (Please see attached on items needed)

NEW EVENT: Senior 55+ Social Hour Starting Aug 4th from 9AM-10AM and will be every two weeks. Seniors come on down and enjoy an hour socializing and playing checkers, chess, cards or cribbage. We will provide donuts and coffee.

Septembers Event will be a Potluck, this is lots of notice to break out your award-winning recipes.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the BBQ and celebrated the Red, White and Blue with us on the 4th of July. The food was fresh and hot much like the Day. Shout out to volunteers John and Angie for stand out there cooking the hamburgers and hot dogs. It’s nice to see the community coming together and socializing. I hope you enjoyed the evening of Firework displays throughout the Valley.

Canyon Heights “Viva” Appreciation Event was a “Hit” and it was “Hot”. Thank You (El Habanero) for making all the delicious food to order. The tacos and all the accompaniments were spot on. I’m Sure everyone walked away full and a little spicy that night. Congratulations to our raffle winners as well. Your patience is appreciated while we continue to improve and add more amenities for you to enjoy here at Canyon Heights.

WEATHERIZATION PROGRAM

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION MUST BE PROVIDED :

 Fill out, sign, and date the Application and Notice of Rights and Obligations form (keep yellow copies)

 Complete the Race and Ethic data form which is used only for reporting purposes

 Copies of unexpired Picture ID’s or Drivers Licenses for all household members over 18 years of age (can be from any state)

 Copies of valid Social Security Cards for ALL individuals in the home (including small children) OR Birth Certificates for children under 18 years of age

 Non-Citizen Members must provide copies of their Temporary/Permanent Resident card(s) along with their Social Security card(s) for all household members

 12 current CONSECUTIVE months bills each of NV Energy and SW Gas (if all electric, please state on application)

- If you do not have them, you may call NV Energy (702) 402-5555 and ask them to fax your bills directly to us at (702) 369-4089 ATTN: Weatherization OR log on to your NV Energy and/or SW Gas account and download your bills (PDF) and email them to

@HELPSONV.ORG

 Certification of Zero Income form(s) for all family members over 18 years of age who have no income (must be signed by the family member with no income and NOTARIZED)

 Copies to document current income are required as they pertain to your specific income. This applies to ALL household members over 18 years of age. Examples of income include:

 Paycheck Stubs showing GROSS Income (1 month)

 Copy of Unemployment Statement (1 month)

 Copy of Social Security Benefit letter (MUST BE MOST CURRENT LETTER)

 Complete copy of Retirement or Pension Statement (Must show GROSS income)

 Copy of Annuity or Interest Statement(s), etc.

*** If there are any pets in the home, you MUST sign and return the Animal Restriction Agreement Form.
