This is a renovation of a century-old building in Savannah for the brand - Patagonia . The design incorporates the uniqueness of the site and brand, focusing on the key words of "playful, connect, flow ".

The idea is to take a close look to mysterious nature by showing the tree secret life - the life in root system and tree crown. The environment is intended to raise people empathy and consciousness about protecting the planet.

The design connect history with present, providing excellent practice for the future.

The site is located in a commercial area in Savannah, a tourist old city known for its oak trees over a thousand years old.

Near a harmony square, the building is surrounded by trees and gets a lot of light. It is a comfortable, peaceful and quiet place where tourists would like to take a rest.

Custom Fungi lights are made of cork (locally sourced, sustainable material)

Dessert Bar - Patagonia Provision Located at the show window on the side of the street with busy tourist traffic, the dessert bar is designed to attract passerby 's attention. The narrative decor of this scene creates a mysterious environment for showing the tree root system alive with fungi.

Customers are attracted to this area to enter, experience, take pictures, and share on social media.

By exposing and reinforcing the old building's lumber structure, the design connects the past to the present with sustainable approach.

Interactive Center - First Floor The interactive center integrate the trend of retail 4.0 by incorporating technology into the design to enhance the modern customer experience. The organic custom table in the central area is inspired by the natural nutrient delivery channel of the tree; its design allows people to interact while maintaining social distance. Digital screens will be used to promote the brand's culture by showing special events s and community events calendar .

Fitting Room Interactive Center - Second Floor Taking inspiration from tree crowns, the space will be bright and will stimulate self exploration and supporting a variety of community activities, such as children's education or yoga classes, as well as displaying products. Create a treasured space by establishing a sense of belonging.

02 Memory Care Design Domitys Memorycare Location: Savannah , GA, USA Year: 2020

Project Description This is a 26620 sq.ft renovation project in the heart of Georgetown in Savannah. Formerly oak public library. It is a highly amenity program with 24 hours memory care and experience assisting living, including independent living studio, 1-bedroom and 2 bedroom, providing a community for residents, visitors and staff under one roof.

Concept - Gentle Effervescence A euphoria carries from the energy envelop.

To gradually release the pressure and obtain a free and peaceful mindset. Although the memory is fleeting away like the gas escape from the liquid, it is an eternal existence by anohter state, which will eventually lead to a composed acceptance.

Public area The design integrate with“Seeable” concept, which fosters the safety of patient activities, the loose furniture arrangement and loop circulation is provided to facilitate access and reduce confusion. A wide variety of social places are available to enhance physical and mental health.

Calm down area The calm down area is located halfway along the corridor, offering a cozy space for residents to interact with other people and help reduce stress as they move from the public area to the private area.

Floorplan Entire space is equipped with handrails, which guide the route to minimize confusion by supporting self-movement.

LivingRoom As the main activity center of the memorycare, the living room is located in a bright, open area with large windows. Long tables facilitate both group and individual activities. Patients' mental health is supported by the orange color of the soft furnishings, which bring out vitality and warmth. The patterns on the floor serve as a guide.

Studio Providing comfort, freedom of movement, and a beautiful window seat for conversation, the studio provides patients with a home-like atmosphere and the opportunity to interact with family, friends, and medical assistance. The clear water column filled with bubbles and the shape of the ceiling reduce anxiety and stabilize emotions

Nurse station Nurse stations are located in the center of private area, making them easily accessible to each room. The LED light strips on the ceiling and the pattern on the ground serve as guides to help Alzheimer's patients reduce confusion. This clam down area is adjacent to the nurse station allows nurses to interact and chat with patients, creating a relaxed, pleasant and home-like atmosphere.

03 Elementary school Design Peach Elementary

Concept- Fresh peach village (Key words : independent, refreshing, cooperative )

Location: Savannah , GA, USA Year: 2020

Project Description This is a elementary school that can accommodate 24-30 students and 3-5 teachers. As a reference for future practices, this conceptual design incorporates color palette theory, attention restoration theory, and anti-bullying theory. Provides a safe, healthy and happy learning and living environment for children ages 6 to 12.

Design goals (Anti-bullying, supporting creativity, being protected)

Concept - Fresh peach village Inspired by Georgia‘s nickname - Peach City.

The design will be based on a magical, fairy-tale theme - Fresh peach village. Peaches symbolize freshness, health, growth, and endearing qualities. Villages are collectives of individuals.The cncept "Peach village" is a design for independence, refreshing, and cooperation Floorplan (Sketch)

“Seeable” locker - Anti bullying Locker area is seeable from the office

Material and furniture mood board Library In the library, exploration is encouraged. The independent house cultivates a sense of independence and boundary awareness. The surrounding landscape descends into a quiet reading area to provide a sense of tranquility. The goal is to encourage desire and interest in reading by playing.

Restroom The bathroom is filled with natural light, and the long table facilitates children's self-awareness by providing a place to store personal items. This wall that is lower than aduit eye sight makes the bathroom "seeable" and emphasizes anti-bullying

Interative center This area can accommodate a variety of movable furniture in front of the stage.

The waiting area integrates with nature and talks with the office, reducing anxiety and stress that comes Classroom with waiting for children or parents Glass window bring the outdoor world indoors, making it easier for children to respond to their attention. Walls are covered with blackboards to encourage writing and expression.

History of the building

The building was formerly a community activity center in the Columbia area, including squash halls, swimming pools, dance halls and barbershops, it carries many precious memories of a generation thirdplace design

Project Description This project is a co-working community center for young freelancer. According to the research on the site, the main users will be young freelancer in columbia, digital nomads and new parents.

Concept - SC³ The goal is to create a “Social Capital” that situated in “South Carolina”with the purpose of creating a “social connection”.

The colorful freely floating bubbles are like countless free spitis. The umbrellas indicate protection. It provides a comfortable distance and creates a sense of security while the historical details tell us a story of local cultural authenticity.

05 Commercial Design - Skybox Electronic music skybox

Project Description O-RE specializes in electronic records characterized by high playability, and a remarkable generation of music compositions arranged with elegance and flexibility. These artists are known as 'eternal players' who use turntables and keyboards, they believes that the beauty of electronic music is in its unpredictable nature. The project is located at Atlanta Stadium, it includes a public entertainment area and private studios, which are used by O-RE's artists and clients to entertainment.

It will be the future practice of China's rural renovation. The project not only serves the local people, but also attracts young tourists to promote rural economic development

Yunjian

Concept Yunjian is a decorative collar worn by a character in a south opera; it is a cloth language that represents a desire to remain close to nature.

The different colors represent different nature elements, such as a mountain, lake, sky, star, etc.

The concept is based on the rotating cloud shoulder (Yunjian). The various colors of the cloud shoulder will be integrated into the character during its rotation, which symbolizes the unity of nature and man. The design abstract the undulating motion state.
