A glance in the rearview mirror on the way home from work provided the light bulb moment that sparked it all. It was the moment that raised a few simple questions. Surely there are stylish protective eyewear on the market? Surely we can find quality safety glasses out there that aren't disposable? Surely we could ditch these speed dealers forever?

That’s the thing: There wasn’t, and we couldn’t.

From humble beginnings shipping protective eyewear from the bedroom, to the thriving brand we’ve become today, our mission is clear: To pioneer fashion-forward protective eyewear for like-minded individuals.

A pair that you could wear anywhere, from the worksite to the weekend. To do so not at the expense of Mother Nature, but in harmony with her. To push boundaries, break norms, and enjoy the journey along the way.

SafeStyle® stands as a certified fashion-forward, innovative protective eyewear company marking a revolutionary shift in the industry. The collision of design, safety, sustainability, form and function has redefined the protective eyewear game forever.

Founded by Tim Lewis, a former plumber of 8 years, who was inspired to create SafeStyle after catching a glimpse of himself in the rear-view mirror wearing cheap throwaway safety glasses, this encounter was the spark that started it all.

As SafeStyle evolved, it became clear that individuals and companies alike shared a common dissatisfaction with their safety eyewear. Disposable, undesirable and uncomfortable protective eyewear was soon to be a thing of the past.

Fast forward to now, SafeStyle offers a large range of signature frame designs, colours and lens technology allowing our customers to find their perfect fit, all certified to medium impact AS/NZS 1337.1 protection for confidence in all conditions.

All SafeStyle glasses are tested and approved to AS/NZS 1337.1 medium impact protection and product certified with SAI GLOBAL Lic: SMK40913 for Australia and New Zealand.

Being AS/NZS 1337.1 certified, it means our products have undergone rigorous testing and evaluation to ensure that it meets the safety and performance criteria outlined in this standard through SAI Global.

This certification signifies that our eyewear is suitable for use in situations where eye and face protection are required,

providing users with confidence that it will effectively safeguard them against specific workplace hazards.

All SafeStyle lenses are made from 100% recyclable UV400 shatterproof polycarbonate, blocking 99.9% of UVA/UVB with a super-hard anti-scratch coating.

BLUE LIGHT UV400 LENS

SUPREME RELIEF FROM DIGITAL STRAIN

Our blue light filter lenses are perfect for indoor use for extended exposure to LED, fluorescent lighting and digital screens. Blue light lenses appear very similar to clears but are designed to filter out harmful high-energy blue light frequencies from the visible light spectrum and are specially engineered to filter wavelengths of visible light between 400-440 nm.

The SafeStyle Hybrids Photochromic Lens features our UV-activated, lightadapting lens technology which is perfect for general indoor and moderate outdoor use. Reflective lens safetey's? You bet! Our mirror lens technology cuts through glare in a way that exceeds the expectation on being a pair of certified safety glasses. The polarised lens ensures the best protection from harmful UV rays, the waterproof oleophobic coating ensures they stay crystal clear and on top of all that they just look so damn good. Available in both polarised red and polarised blue.

Our hugely popular and robust polarised lenses have a dark tint and are perfect for outdoor use by reducing glare from the road, water, snow or any bright light reflective surface. SafeStyle's polarised lenses have an oleophobic coating to eliminate water, oils or fingerprints sticking to the lenses. Perfect for out on the water!

SafeStyle tinted lenses are the staple of our outdoor range and are great for general use in a wide variety of outdoor light conditions, protecting your eyes from daily hazards on the job as well as the suns harmful UV rays. All SafeStyle non-prescription protective eyewear includes a 30 day warranty as set out by the SafeStyle Wholesale Warranty Policy. Refer to the SafeStyle Manufacturer Warranty Policy 2022 for full Ts and Cs.

CAN THE SIDE SHIELDS BE REMOVED?

No, the side shield is fixed. If the side shield is removed, this will void any safety certifications.

IS THE SIDE SHIELD UV400?*

Yes.

WHAT IS UV400?*

‘UV400’ refers to UV rays at the top end of the UV spectrum, up to the 400-nanometer wavelength. Meaning the lens and frames are blocking the harmful UV rays and helping reduce the visible signs of aging.

WHAT’S YOUR BIGGEST FRAME?

Our 'Fusions' and our 'Primes' are the largest styles we currently offer.

ARE THESE SCRATCH PROOF?

All SafeStyle lenses are coated with our Anti scratch coating to protect it from life’s little knocks.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TESTED AND CERTIFIED?

Tested indicates that the product has undergone various tests to assess its performance and safety features. Certified goes a step further to confirm that the eyewear meets specific standards and provides assurance that the product complies with established safety and performance standards.

WHO IS SAI GLOBAL?

SAI Global is a recognised leading provider of integrated risk management solutions, assurance, and property services.

WHAT DOES BASE CURVE MEAN?

Base curve is the lens curvature around the face and graded lowest to highest. For example a 4 base curve will sit flatter on the face compared to a frame that is 8 base that will curve and wrap around the face.

CAN I SWAP THE LENSES?

We don’t sell the lenses separately, if the lens is popped out this will void any safety certifications.

ARE YOUR GLASSES MADE IN AUSTRALIA?

All our glasses are designed in Australia and manufactured in our facility in Taiwan.

HOW DO I CLEAN THE GLASSES?

When cleaning your pair refrain from using products that have any chemicals or are alcohol-based. We always recommend just using warm soapy water. To keep your frames in their best condition we advise customers to use the hard case when not in use, and to clean their frames after pro-longed use of sunscreen, insect repellent or some makeup.
