The visual identity of Agah Psychodynamic Clinic is designed based on a color palette with a blue color spectrum as primary colors and a modular pattern. The choice of this color was made to instill confidence and calmness in potential customers. Next to its monogram, a Persian wordmark was created with the traditional calligraphy used in its corporate stationery.

Regarding brand architecture, two logos were designed for the Children and Adolescents, and Academic and Career departments based on clinic monogram and wordmark. The stationery collection of Agah Clinic includes patient folders, disc covers, envelopes and letterheads in different sizes, business cards, invoice and notebook (sticky notes).

HANDLE WITH CARE Book Cover Client: Fasl-e Panjom Pub. | Date: 2015 COVER DESIGN

Handle with Care is a poetry book by Maryam Ansari, which contains 24 sonnets in the Persian language and is published in 2015 by ‘Fasl-e Panjom’ (Fifth Season) publishing house. This book of poetry is printed in Octavo size and in a circulation of 700 copies.

In the cover design of this book, inspired by its poetic atmosphere and the message that is often recorded on boxes containing breakable objects, an attempt has been made to recreate this message on cartons with a different tone. The background of the cover evokes the texture of an old cardboard, on the front cover there is a seal with the title of the book in Farsi

(‫)بــا احتیــاط حمــل شــود‬, and below it, there are warning signs... signs that, unlike usual, are a guide to carrying and using this book, and not Carton contains breakable!

In fact, the designer has tried to make the poetic atmosphere of the book more prominent for the audience by emphasizing the author’s creativity in choosing the title.

Due to the relatively small number of pages and the narrowness of the book’s spine, its design has been done in the simplest and most readable way possible.

The billboard design for the 8th Avicenna Student’s Creativity Tournament was done in Bkhat Studio. The concept was breaking common thought frameworks for aiming creative thinking, which was done through 3D simulation.

This design was prepared in 6 different dimensions and exhibited in Shiraz, Iran. In addition to the billboard, the advertising banner for the Conference Press of the competition was also designed.

ALLAH BEDEH BAROON Book Cover Client: Hamsayeh Publication | Date: January 2018 COVER DESIGN

TYPOGRAPHY

Allah Bedeh Baroon (Allah Give it Rain) is the sixth book from the book series Gerash written by Sadegh Rahmani and it is the result of a collective effort of writers who gathered in the Gerash public library and collected the popular culture of this city. This book is a collection of rituals, beliefs, proverbs and culture of Gerash people, which was published by Hamsayeh Publishing House.

The title of this book is derived from a folk song and prayer asking for rain, for a city located in a hot and dry region.

In the design of the cover of this book, there is an image of living and dead palms in the storm, and the repetition of the title of the book on the cover with different fonts... evokes the various tones of singing this ritual prayer for rain.

Khona Kadim (In English: Old House) was an annual event that was organized for four years during Nowruz from 2015 to 2019 by Gerash ICOMOS NGO. Each event was dedicated to the revival of life in one of the historical houses of Gerash city (Fars Province, Iran), and it paid attention to the old rituals and daily life in this city both in terms of architecture and culture.

In the poster design of each of these events, one of the elements of the house has been chosen as the main subject of the poster and event advertisements. For example, in the Khona Kadim 2, the pond of Saadat House, and in the Khona Kadim 3, the palm tree of Azimi House was chosen as the subject of the poster design.

And in the Khona Kadim 4, the fan of Mohsenzadeh house was used in poster design.

Follow your own story!

Stories are like life; They are born, grow, and end somewhere... just like life. We have implemented an installation/puzzle in Khona Kadim 4, the program held in Nowrouz 2019 (March). In a section of this house, which we have named The Passage of Life, you may read Gerashi folklore tales (Ka’ate Show) and look for their elements in several rooms. The ending of each tale/ story is a puzzle that will be found in the House.

As one of the oldest cities of Persia and the successor of Persepolis, Shiraz is still one of the biggest cities in Iran.

Having access to the historical routes, Shiraz connected the East to the West in ancient times and served as a significant ‘hub’ in the cross-cultural transfer of objects, traditions, techniques, artistic influences, and knowledge.

Daneshgah Primary School as our project is located northwest of such an exciting city, within the Shiraz University campus, close to the Eram world heritage garden and surrounded by its northern low-height beautiful mountains.

Multi-modal Site Analysis

In early 2021, the school council decided to use the pandemic’s mandatory school closure to involve modifications that can guarantee an opportunity to upgrade their energy performance.

Consulting with Tech Lab experts, they were convinced to extend their initial goals and move towards a high-performance school that serves the community and creates healthier and more productive learning environments by embracing the sustainable school features.

In a ‘comprehensive site analysis’, the site’s different climatic, cultural, social, and infrastructural contexts were studied. For user experience analysis, different data about how school users are experiencing and interacting with their school were collected and evaluated using behavioral mapping and Neurotechture techniques via drone, EEG headset, VR eye tracker, and Polygraph application.

We use an inclusive method of assessment and data correlation to better analyze, predict, and simulate students’ behavior. The aim of the proposed method is to measure, map, visualize, and correlate different factors that affect students’ behavior within their schoolyard.

Our proposed systematic approach looks at the surrounding environment (natural and anthropogenic) and other subsystems linked to the complex problems in different cities, sites, buildings, and users’ scales. We have metaphorically seen this process as solving a Rubik, which is still unsolved. To solve a Rubik, one should check how cubelets fit to form the currently assembled puzzle. Therefore, our design process begins with a pre-design phase in which a ‘multimodal analysis’ has been conducted.

Considering the school’s idyllic setting, we believed it could afford the luxury of sustainability and act as a role model for other city’s schools. Therefore, applying systematic design principles and reviewing best-practice solutions, we aimed to promote a school design that combined sustainable building science with building practices that benefited the school, the environment, the community, and the user’s health. We found the Solar Decathlon’s Design Challenge Criteria demonstrated a beneficial competency to help us achieve our goals.

The result is a website that elegantly showcases Keivan Mohseni’s work and is effortlessly navigable and responsive on any screen size.
