AFTER-SCHOOL ENRICHMENTPROGRAM

ASE POLICIES

HOURSOFOPERATION

Campus opens at 7:30 a.m. If your K-8 student needs ASE early-bird care between 7:30 - 8 a.m., please contact Joy tosignupyourchild.Theearly-birdrateis $12.00/morningforyourstudent.Pre-K-8th grade students are not permitted on campusbefore7:30a.m.

The After School Enrichment Program is open 2:45 - 6 p.m. After 6 p.m., a late fee will be charged. Thelatepick-uppenalty is $23.75 for the first minute and $1 for each additional minute. Habitual late pick-up (five times) will be cause for a child’sdismissalfromtheASEProgram.

Drop-insarediscouraged,however,ifyour child attends camp without prior registration, you will be billed $23.75 per hour. K-5 students on campus after 3:15, and 6-8 students on campus after 3:45 p.m. who are not participating in a supervised activity (such as a club or sport) will be checked in to camp and chargedthedrop-inrate.

ASE will be closed during all school holidays/closures. Please refer to the ASE Calendaronpage3.

Please send an after-school snack for your student; the ASE program does not providesnacks SNACKS

AFTER-SCHOOL ATHLETICS

For athletes participating in Country Day 5th-8th after-school athletics, a 30minute grace period is provided for the athlete. A standard rate of $14.75 is chargedafterthegraceperiod. Forsiblingsoftheathlete,thedrop-infee of$23.75willbewaivedwhentheycheck intoASEfortheafternoon.

MEDICALCONDITIONSAND/OR PHYSICALLIMITATIONS

Ifyourchildhasamedicalcondition,please email the Director with accommodations required for your child after you register yourchildforASE.

SIGNINGINANDOUT

If your student is attending camp after school, they will be signed in and out by a campcounselor

If your Lower and/or Middle School child is oncampusbeforeorafterschoolwithouta parent or guardian (18+ years), they need to check in to ASE and will be charged the drop-infeeifnotpre-registered

High School students are not permitted to sign their siblings out of ASE to supervise themoncampus.

Please notify Joy if any other adult will sign out your child from ASE. For sign-out purposes,havethembringaformofI.D.

COMMUNITYCONDUCT& BEHAVIORALPOLICY

Students participating in the After School Enrichment Program must follow and support Country Day's Community Code of Conduct.Asanextensionoftheschoolday, ASE aligns its behavioral policies with the Lower School and Middle School divisions. Behavior or language perceived by the Director or designated staff as meanspirited, hurtful, unsafe, or threatening may result in suspension or dismissal from the program. This includes any behavior that undermines our goal to best serve the needs of all participants For the Lower School and Middle School handbooks, pleaserefertoCavNET.

ALLERGYPOLICY

Country Day values the safety of all of our community members and exercises some common-senseprecautionstosupportstudentswhohavespecificallergies.Thoughweare notanut-freeschool,westrivetomakeitsaferforchildrenandadultswithfoodallergiesto participateinthefullrangeofactivitiesavailableatschool.

TheSchool'sResponsibilities

1.We will educate the faculty and staff about allergies, signs and symptoms of allergy and anaphylaxis, and provide training on the use of epinephrine(Epi-Pensandothersuchdevices.)

2.Each child with a known allergy will have an Allergy and Anaphylaxis Emergency Care Plan in the school and P.E. offices, and for Lower Schoolstudents,intheirclassroom

3We will educate students and parents about allergiesandappropriateprecautions.

4.Each faculty and staff member will be made aware of which children in their care have seriousallergies

5AllemergencymedicationandEmergencyCare Planswillbetakenonfieldtrips.

6.It is a Lower School rule that children may not shareortradefoodwitheachother.

TheFamily’sResponsibilities

1.Provide a complete Allergy and Anaphylaxis EmergencyCarePlantotheschooloffice.

2Informtheschoolifyourchild’sallergycouldbe triggered by casual contact with the allergen (e.g. touch or inhalation rather than ingestion). Ifthisisthecase,morespecificprecautionswill be implemented in your child’s classroom or gradetominimizethepossibilityofcontact.

3Provideallpropermedicationforyourchildand medicalreleaseform

4.Providetreatsforthechildtohaveonhandfor birthdays or class parties. Children with known allergiesmaynoteatfoodprovidedbyothers.If needed,treatsmaybestoredintherefrigerator orfreezeratschool Pleaselabelthetreats

5.Continue to educate and remind your child to limit his/her foods to those provided by or approvedbythefamily.

6Help to educate teachers, parents, and if desired,classmatesaboutfoodallergies

ASE CAMP

Pre-Kindergarten

Extended Care is available to Pre-K students through the Pre-K program. Please contact AnnaRoyalatAroyal@saccdsorg

Kindergarten-1stGrade

Campers will be greeted and checked in to campbyASEcounselors,thenescortedtothe restrooms to wash their hands before snack time. Campers will engage in ageappropriate activities with counselors until picked up by a parent or caregiver no later than6pm

2nd-5thGrades

StartTimes:3pm for2nd,3:10pm for3rd, 3:15p.m.for4th-5th

MiddleSchool

Middle school students must check in to the ASE Program by 3:45 pm unless they are participating in an after-school activity such assports,theater,band/orchestrarehearsals,

or other school-related supervised activitiessuchasclubs,andpickedupby aparentorcaregivernolaterthan6pm

K-8thGradePick-UpPolicy

Ifastudentremainsoncampusafteran organized activity (sports practice, drama rehearsal, etc.), the teacher or coach in charge is required to sign the student into camp. Campers signed in thiswaywillbechargedthedrop-inrate unless pre-arranged with Joy, and studentsmustbepickedupnolaterthan 6p.m.Ahighschoolsiblingmaynotsign outandsupervisestudentsoncampus.

MiddleSchoolCarsSiblings Nochargeuntil3:25p.m.

If you have a K-5th student waiting for a middle or high school sibling, they are able to wait in Camp at no charge until 3:25 p.m., at which time a teacher or counselor will escort them to Middle School cars by the Main Office There is no need for parents to sign out their children when using this service. Please contact your child's teacher and Joy to usethisservice.

REGISTRATION&PAYMENTPLANS

Registration will begin on August 15 for K-8th ASE and Pre-K extended care. To register, please log in to parent.blackbaud.com for 2025-26. There are four payment options for your family. Financial assistance is available to families to ensure all campers have the opportunity to participate in ASE and Pre-K extended care. Plan 2 requires families to register in advance and pay for five hours a week for a four-week sessiontoreservetheirchild'sspotintheprogram Theaveragecostis $295 forthefour-week session and any additional time over five hours a week will be charged an hourly rate of $14.75/hour.

ASE CLASSES

TheAfterSchoolEnrichmentClassSchedulewillbeavailableinlateSeptember ASEClassesarea partoftheASEprogram YourchilddoesnotneedtosignupforASEcamptoparticipateinthe amazingandfunclasses.ASEclasseshaveaseparatefeefromthecampportionoftheprogram and give your child an opportunity to get involved in some really exciting activities after the schooldayisover,anditallhappensrighthereoncampus!

EnrichmentclasseshaveaseparatefeefromthecampportionoftheASEprogramandinclude theater, chess, yoga, and kinder all stars...just to name a few! Students do not need to be registeredforASEcamptoenrollinenrichmentclasses.

Billing:ASEfeeswillappearonyourmonthlystatementthroughTuitionManagement.

Charges:StudentsattendingASEClasseswillbesignedintoASECampbeforetheirclassesbegin but will not be charged for this time at camp. Students not picked up at dismissal of their ASE class will be checked back into ASE Camp. There is a 10-minute grace period before camp chargesbegin.Duetothedifferentstarttimesofprivatemusiclessons,studentsarechargedfor theirtimeinASECampbeforetheirlessonbegins

Changes/Cancellations:Weaskthatyoupleasemakeyourselectionscarefully.Allchangesmust be made in writing, preferably by email to jpangilinan@saccds.org. Changes will be made on a space-availablebasis.Wereservetherighttocancelaclassforanyreason.

ASEPRIVATE MUSICLESSONS

ASE private music lessons offer one-on-one teaching sessions from distinguished musiciansandteachers.Allphasesofplayingaredevelopedpedagogically.

Proper posture and breathing, embouchure and tone development, musical notation, timeandkeysignatures,intervals,andscalesareallcoveredinprivatelessons.

Priorityonschedulesisgiventoreturningstudents,thenprivatelessonsarescheduledon afirst-come,first-servedbasis.Ifyouneedtocancelaprivatemusiclesson,pleasenotify Joy24hoursinadvancetowaivethelessonfee
