WHAT IS THE SACRAMENTO BLACK CHAMBER OF COMMERCE?

Established in 1984, the Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce provides support to small, minority-owned business, micro-enterprises, and Non-Profit Organizations, which fosters economic stability and growth throughout the Sacramento Region, and beyond.

The Mission of the SBCC is to ensure member businesses benefit through services that sustain and increase their revenues, while the region benefits through the growth of African American owned businesses.

We Provide Business Support As one of over 30 local Sacramento Chambers of Commerce, our goal is to help specifically minority and Woman-owned small businesses, entrepreneurs and non-profits grow their presence, their revenue, their opportunities to win contracts and contribute towards the economic stability and growth of our region.

We Have 400+ Members While our focus is on supporting Black businesses, we also are home and host to many non Blackowned businesses who simply want to be part of the circle and reach the African-American community. In fact, we’ve seen an enormous increase in new members over the last two years.

There is genuine interest in wanting to “do the right thing” and many corporations are starting this work by joining our Chamber.

Our board members are elected to three-year terms, and can serve a total of two, consecutive, three-year terms. Azizza Davis-Goines is President and CEO of the SBCC Board of Directors and Executive Director of the SBCCF. The mission of the Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce Foundation is to educate, empower, and inspire, for the purpose of fostering prosperity in under-represented communities.

SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES COLLABORATIVE WORKING TOGETHER TO SERVE COMMUNITY, WHILE PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT

Our strong sponsor relationship with SMUD, UC Davis/UC Davis Health, the Sacramento Kings and SHRA has resulted in four solar trees being installed in Del Paso Heights and South Sacramento, with a third site planned for Oak Park.

This initiative brings much needed solar energy and charging stations to communities in need..

SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES COLLABORATIVE ENERGY BARON PROGRAM

We work with Eco-Alpha Environmental and Engineering Services and their Energy Baron Program.

The Energy Baron program is an 8-Week Workforce Development Training Opportunity in the Facilities Energy Sector for those who live and/or work in the Sacramento Promise Zone.

Energy Barons who complete the training become a facilities professional whose primary function is to help lower the energy usage and utility cost for buildings, through implementation of energy efficiency best practices.

Our events typically host 50-300+ people!

If annual sponsorship doesn’t meet your needs, consider sponsoring one of our events!

The range of event sponsorships can range from as little as $500 for a corporate vendor booth, to $2.5K for a table of eight at our annual installation and awards gala.
