I am one of those who would keep money at the back of the cabinet hidden from the eyes (and hands) of everyone. It was only when I had my daughter, now seven years old, that I realized the importance of keeping cash in the bank. And I wouldn’t have done it if I did not suffer some unexpected losses. Unexpected losses meaning somebody must have found out about my stash and maybe “borrowed” a few hundred, and maybe forgot to give it back.
